Curriculum Development<br />
Was invited to be a member of Focussed Group in Educational Technology<br />
constituted by NCERT for National Curriculum Framework (NCF-2005).<br />
Contributed significantly as a 3-member committee to give final shape to the<br />
Focussed Group Report.<br />
Have developed curricula of Educational Technology at B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil.<br />
levels. The new and innovative programme (Master of Educational Technology-<br />
Computer Applications- METCA) is unique Master level programme developing<br />
Instructional Designers for e-learning. <strong>SNDT</strong>WU is the only <strong>University</strong> in India<br />
which offers such a programme.<br />
Have participated in Course Design workshops (for B.Ed., M.Ed., MES) of YCM<br />
Open <strong>University</strong>, Maharashtra, IGNOU and <strong>SNDT</strong>WU.<br />
Research:<br />
For over 30 years conducted, guided, evaluated research in Educational<br />
Technology, Instructional Design, Online and Distance learning, Educational<br />
Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Population Education, Textbook<br />
Development and other areas.<br />
Major Research Projects<br />
Comparative study of ICT curricula in the States and UTs (2009-11)<br />
Development of Interactive Computer Aided Instructional (ICAI) Package in<br />
“Learner and the Process of Learning” for Teacher Trainees. Major<br />
Research Project sanctioned by <strong>University</strong> Grants Commission, India.<br />
(2003-05)<br />
Problems faced by Adolescents living in Metropolitan Cities. Funded by<br />
Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT),<br />
Pune, June 2000-March 2002.<br />
Assessment of Technical and Infra-structural Capacities of District<br />
Institutes of Education and Training - A National Level Study. Sponsored<br />
by UNICEF and conducted by National Institute of Educational Planning<br />
and Administration. (1998 - 2000)<br />
Social Survey on „Solid Waste Management‟ in Panaji, Goa. Funded by<br />
UNDP-World Bank (Regional Water and Sanitation Group, South<br />
Asia). This study was conducted during 1992-93.<br />
Summative Evaluation of Kheda Communications Project. Funded by<br />
Development and Educational Communication Unit of Indian Space<br />
Research Organization, Ahmedabad. (1990-93). (Survey, Case Studies<br />
and Content Analysis were used as Research methods/techniques.<br />
