(Oct 2009) Recipient of Maharashtra State Best Teacher Award for the Year 2005-06. (Received in Sept 2006) Recipient of Fulbright Fellowship (Senior Research Fellowship) 2005-06. Conducted research on “Gender differences in Online Learning: Implications for the Instructional Designer” at the Florida State University, Florida, USA during Jan. to June 2006. Recipient of Rotary International Fellowship for University Teachers for teaching at University of Technology, MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia (Jan-April 2004). Invited by the University of Regina, Canada as Visiting Professor. Assisted in developing Instructional Designs for online courses. (May–July 2003). Award for the Research paper presented in the XIII Seminar Reading competition for the Teacher Educators (1987) conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi. The Paper was entitled “Improvement of Self Concept of Remand Home students through Personal Guidance”. Visits to Foreign Countries for Teaching/Conferences/Collaboration Visited China (Xiamen) to participate in 5 th World Forum of Women Presidents of Universities. (Nov 3-6, 2011) Visited on invitation by the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada to participate in an Partner Consultative Meeting on Teacher Preparation (July 26, 2010). Also visited Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, Toronto University. 6
Visited Open University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in Jan 2010 for studying the Internet Radio for Open Education. Also visited Wawasan Open University, Penang. Visited Paris, France to participate in the World Teachers‟ Day celebrations on invitation from UNESCO in Oct 2009. Spoke on “Every Child needs a Teacher: Loving and Committed” on this occasion. Visited the Netherlands to participate in ICDE Conference in June 2009. Presented three papers as well as Chaired a Session. Also participated in the Round Table organized by Commonwealth of Learning (COL). Visited Mauritius Institute of Education, Mauritius to conduct training in Online Learning for the Faculty of MIE (May 2009, 3 weeks) on invitation for the Director, MIE. Visited Hong Kong (Nov 2008) on invitation from the Microsoft organization to participate in the Worldwide Innovative Teachers Forum. Visited Bangladesh (March 2008) to conduct a workshop on “Development of Open and Distance Learning material” for two NGOs (Rupantar and USAID) working in the field on Panchayati Raj and Education. This was sponsored by Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. Visited Canada (Vancouver) to make a presentation to Commonwealth of Learning (April 2006) on collaborative online programme in Instructional Design. Visited California State University Los Angeles and Oneonta College of New York State University, Oneonta, USA to disuses the possibility of collaboration with SNDTU. (April 2006) Visited Singapore (National Institute of Education) to conduct a preconference workshop (on Cognitive-Constructivist approach to Web Based Learning) for the participants of ICCE 2005 Conference (Nov. 2005). Visited Malaysia (University Technology-MARA) to discuss the possibility of student exchange (Nov. 2005). Visited Indonesia to participate in International Conference of AAOU. Presented a paper and also Chaired a session (Sept. 2005) Visited China (Shanghai) to participate in a three day Asia Workshop Shanghai 2004 organized by the ICWF (International Conferences, Exchanges and Fairs) (Oct. 2004) Visited the Faculty of Education in East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China to develop bilateral ties (for student and staff exchange programme) Conducted a session for the M.Ed., Ph.D. Students and the staff (Oct. 2004).
