Intro Basic Program With Regular Event - 6 Jump Heights - FEO Allowed<br />

This Program is designed to help new competitors measure their progress in training and to acclimate to the fundamental elements in dog agility competition.<br />

Competitors with dogs that are at least fourteen (14) months of age and have not earned a title in the Championship, Performance or Veterans programs are<br />

eligible to enter to enter this class for titling.<br />

This class may be entered For Exhibition Only (FEO) provided the competitor is not entered in the same class in another program on the same day.<br />

Competitors must be entered FEO if they have achieved a title in that class in another program.<br />

Obstacle standards shall be the same as in the Starters class with exceptions noted in Chapter 10 of the regulations. Six (6) jump height classes are offered<br />

at 4", 8", 12" & 16" with the A-frame set at 112.5° (app. 5’0") and at 22" & 26" with the A-frame set at 104° (app. 5’6").<br />

Performance standards for the Intro Program classes are the same as in the Starters level except as modified by special rules for each class detailed in<br />

Chapter 10. Qualifications earned are accumulated toward title certification in each class—Standard, Jumpers, Gamblers and Snooker—and overall for a<br />

versatility title.<br />

Mixed-Height Pairs Entry Allowed<br />

Dogs entered as partners in pairs relay at this event may be combined without regard to jump height, i.e. a mini dog may be entered as a partner with an<br />

open dog. Any pair consisting of at least one open dog must qualify in accordance with the QCT set forth by the judge of record for Open Pairs AND will be<br />

considered an open pair for placement purposes.<br />

Prizes & Awards<br />

Test - Tournament - Nonstandard Awards<br />

First through fourth place ribbons will be awarded for placement in each jump height in the Standard & Non-standard classes in the Championship<br />

and Performance Programs with Pairs being awarded to mini and open divisions. Maroon ribbons will be awarded to all qualifiers.<br />

First through third place ribbons will be awarded for placement in each jump height in the Standard & Jumpers Intro Program classes. Maroon<br />

ribbons will be awarded to all qualifiers.<br />

Special qualifying ribbons will be awarded in Round 1 of the Steeplechase and Performance Speed Jumping tournaments. In Round 2 first through<br />

fourth place ribbons will be awarded for placement in the Steeplechase and Performance Speed Jumping classes. In addition, prize money shall be<br />

computed based upon 20% of the total entry fees to be allocated in accordance with the payout table specified in the Steeplechase tournament rules.<br />

Payouts shall be made irregardless of the size of entry in any height class except that allocable amounts to finalist positions that are not filled for any<br />

reason or allocable prize amounts less than $3.00 shall not be paid.
