INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST<br />
INVOLVING PRIVATE SERVICE PROVIDERS UNDER SURAKHIT JANEPA YOJNA<br />
(SJY)<br />
1.0 Surakhit Janepa Yojna is a scheme being implemented under NRHM <strong>Punjab</strong>,<br />
where private nursing homes and hospitals are being empanelled through financing<br />
mechanism for providing institutional delivery services free <strong>of</strong> cost among BPL,SC/ST<br />
pregnant women. The accredited private Institute were being reimbursed at an average<br />
fixed rate <strong>of</strong> Rs.2500/- per delivery conducted (Normal, Complicated or caesarean).<br />
2.0 Despite good infrastructure, non availability <strong>of</strong> specialists and Female Medical<br />
Officer in certain health institution is a major hindrance in ensuring service availability in<br />
these areas.<br />
In order to bridge the gap <strong>of</strong> unavailability <strong>of</strong> manpower in underserved districts<br />
in health institutions (PHCs, CHCs) in certain, underserved districts, state intends to<br />
revise Surakhit Janepa Yojna in these districts.<br />
3.0 In underserved districts like Barnala, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Mansa, Moga,<br />
Muktsar, Nawanshahar, Ropar, Sangrur & Tarn Taran, the average fixed rate per<br />
delivery has been revised to Rs.4000/- per delivery conducted (normal, complicated or<br />
caesarean).<br />
4.0 In remaining district i.e. Amritsar, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot,<br />
Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Mohali and Patiala, SJY Scheme will be<br />
implemented at earlier rates i.e. @Rs.2500/- per delivery.<br />
5.0 Interested Private Service Providers: Trusts/NGOs/Nursing Homes who are<br />
willing to join under this scheme may request for SJY Guidelines from the Civil Surgeon
<strong>of</strong> the concerned district on any working day and can also be downloaded from website<br />
i.e.www.pbnrhm.org.<br />
6.0 Expression <strong>of</strong> interest by various agencies with complete information as per the<br />
check list for the accreditation <strong>of</strong> private institution as mentioned in the SJY Guidelines<br />
should reach in an envelope inscribing “LETTER OF INTEREST INVOLVING PRIVATE<br />
SERVICE PROVIDERS UNDER SURAKHIT JANEPA YOJNA (SJY)” addressed to<br />
Chairperson, District <strong>Health</strong> Society in concerned Civil Surgeon’s Office. This <strong>of</strong>fer will<br />
remain open till adequate numbers <strong>of</strong> APIs are engaged.<br />
7.0 Private Institutions already accredited under the scheme may also revisit the SJY<br />
Guidelines for the future implementation <strong>of</strong> scheme.<br />
