9. Cleaning and maintenance<br />

There are no parts in the torque <strong>sensor</strong> that you can service as a customer or user.<br />

The transmission system in this torque <strong>sensor</strong> is completely maintenance-free.<br />

However, we recommend that you:<br />

• Check the bearings at least once a year to see that they move freely.<br />

• Replace the low-friction special bearings after a maximum of approx.<br />

20,000 hours of operation. In continuous operation at high speeds it may<br />

be necessary to replace the bearings sooner.<br />

• Check cables and connectors annually.<br />

It is up to you as the user to determine the recalibration interval. We recommend<br />

that you check/recalibrate the <strong>sensor</strong> after a maximum of 26 months in normal use.<br />

10. Taking out of use<br />

‣ Remove the <strong>sensor</strong>s correctly.<br />

‣ Protect the <strong>sensor</strong> from knocks.<br />

‣ Protect the <strong>sensor</strong> against bending moments.<br />

‣ Support the <strong>sensor</strong>.<br />

‣ Do not drop the <strong>sensor</strong> under any circumstances.<br />
