Welcome to the <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong> <strong><strong>West</strong>ern</strong> <strong>Stampede</strong> Celebration. Listed below is the<br />
information you will need to participate in this event. If there are any questions,<br />
please contact Meradyth Moore. We appreciate your support and hope this will<br />
be a successful opportunity for you and your business.<br />
<strong><strong>West</strong>ern</strong> <strong>Stampede</strong> Celebration 2007:<br />
Monday, July 2: 5 – 10 p.m.<br />
Tuesday, July 3: 5 – 10 p.m.<br />
Wednesday, July 4: 10 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.<br />

Load-in will be on Monday, July 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Load-out will be<br />
on Wednesday, July 4 beginning at 11:00 p.m.<br />
All applications must be received along with a $50 deposit by Friday, June 15,<br />
2007. The remaining balance must be received by Friday, June 22, 2007.<br />
The City will provide a 10 x 10 booth, including 1 banquet table and 2 chairs for<br />
each commercial, art, and craft vendor. Food vendors will be provided 2 tables<br />
and 2 chairs. <strong>Vendor</strong>s will not be permitted to set up any tents or other additions.<br />
All tables must be covered and decorations are highly recommended.<br />

THIS EVENT WILL NOT BE CANCELED OR RESCHEDULED!<br />
Estimated attendance is between 15,000 and 20,000 patrons. A maximum of ten<br />
(10) food vendors will be selected to participate. The event is free to the public. In<br />
order to maintain a fair, competitive environment, the City of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong> will<br />
regulate the number of similar vendors in the park. You may request a specific<br />
location, or larger booth, but booths will be assigned upon receipt of application<br />
and full payment on a first-come first-serve basis. All applications and a deposit<br />
of $50 must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007. Full payments<br />
must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007. Payment should be<br />
made to The City of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong> and can be mailed to the City Atten: Arlene<br />
Farley at 8000 South Redwood Road, <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong>, UT 84088 or delivered.<br />
All food vendors must have a license from the Board of Health (313-6620).<br />
Verification of license must be available upon load-in on Monday, July 2. All<br />
people working in your booth must have a valid food handler’s permit. The Board<br />
of Health will show you how to have running water and a three-compartment<br />
sink, as required for use at fairs. Food vendors are solely responsible to meet all<br />
Board of Health requirements.<br />
For safety reasons, glass-serving containers will not be permitted. Food vendors<br />
will be allowed to see soft drinks, water, etc.<br />
Every vendor will be responsible for their own garbage clean-up. The city<br />
employees are very busy during the event and are not responsible for your trash<br />
and recyclable items.<br />
<strong>Vendor</strong>s will be allowed to park inside the ring road of the park. AT NO TIME,<br />
WILL CARS BE ALLOWED ON THE GRASS! Special arrangements can be<br />
made to loading and unloading.<br />
There will be security throughout the park during the celebration, including during<br />
the nights. But please don’t leave any valuable items in your booth overnight.<br />
The City of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong> is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.<br />

2007 <strong>Application</strong> and Release<br />
I hereby verify that I have received, read, and understand the event regulations,<br />
(including the refund policy) for the <strong><strong>West</strong>ern</strong> <strong>Stampede</strong> Celebration. I agree that I<br />
will comply with all event regulations and I will inform other operators present in<br />
my booth of such regulations. I understand and agree that the relationship of the<br />
City and vendor shall be that of a independent contractor(s) and in no event shall<br />
I or any other operator be considered an officer, agent, servant, or employee of<br />
the City. I shall be solely responsible for participation in the event and I<br />
understand and agree the City of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Jordan</strong> is not responsible for stolen<br />
property, injuries, liability claims, or action arising out of my participation in this<br />
event, and I hereby release the City from such liability and claims.<br />
