Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
IMPORTANT NOTE: The eligibility of the following candidates is subject to the conditions below.
(i) If candidate fails to submit NOC from the present employer (if employed) before the date of
entrance test, he/she shall NOT BE PERMITTED to attend the entrance test. However if the
candidate wishes to resign and join Ph.D. programme, he/she needs to inform his/her
employer and submit the proof of the same before the date of entrance test. Otherwise, the
candidate shall NOT BE PERMITTED to attend the entrance test.
(ii) Reserved category candidates shall be considered as “OPEN” if the requisite documents as
indicated are not submitted before the entrance test.
(iii) The candidates should report to the entrance test venue ONE HOUR BEFORE the scheduled
time of entrance test for submitting the documents which are not submitted along with the
application form.
(iv) The candidates having VALID GATE SCORE CARD are only exempted from appearing for the
entrance test. The venue, date and time of entrance test are given at the end of this list.
