Towards an action plan<br />
From the above discussion, several possible action points for higher value realisation<br />
emerge. Selection <strong>and</strong> prioritisation <strong>of</strong> action points has to be done through consultation<br />
with the community, keeping in mind the following issues:<br />
Relatively low priority accorded by HHs to <strong>income</strong> <strong>from</strong> <strong>trees</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>herbs</strong>, compared<br />
to <strong>income</strong> <strong>from</strong> agriculture crops<br />
Project limitations, in terms <strong>of</strong> time-period <strong>and</strong> funds, for providing support in any<br />
form other than training, capacity-building <strong>and</strong> facilitation <strong>of</strong> mobilisation<br />
Consultations with the community can be dovetailed with meetings for discussing higher<br />
returns <strong>from</strong> agriculture (explained in related other <strong>study</strong>). For facilitating discussion on<br />
higher <strong>income</strong> realisation <strong>from</strong> tree <strong>and</strong> <strong>herbs</strong>, the points in Table 3.1 may be used.<br />
