‘Shopping to Remember’
makes fundraising Fashionable
In April, the Women’s Council
of the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute,
a group of women dedicated to
raising funds and awareness on
behalf of the Institute, hosted
Shopping to Remember, a fashioninspired
fundraiser that generated $13,000 in support of
programs and services for Alzheimer’s disease patients
and their families.
The luncheon and shopping affair dubbed “retail
therapy” attracted more than 100 guests who sipped
mimosas and sangria while perusing and purchasing
merchandise from an array of specialty boutiques catering
to fashions for women and children.
Shopping to Remember is a precursor to the annual A
Night to Remember tasting and cocktail event held every fall.
The 4th annual A Night to Remember, co-chaired by
Women’s Council members Peggy Federico and Amy
Goff, was held October 23 at P.F. Chang’s at the
Scottsdale Waterfront.
