WHEN CAN A STATE<br />

RESTRICT ABORTION<br />

The Court now rejected the<br />

strict trimester system. States can impose<br />

restrictions such as:<br />

• Mandatory waiting periods,<br />

• Parental Consent,<br />

• Fetal Viability Tests,<br />

• No abortions in State Hospitals.<br />

But, the State can not impose an “undue<br />

burden” that would prevent a woman’s<br />

choice to have an abortion.
