UK Building Regulations are there to protect us and to ensure that your new home is built to a required
standard. The Government has set a route map for improvement of sustainable design and construction
of new homes.
There is a requirement that by 2018, all public buildings will be zero carbon and new homes, by 2020.
European house building regulations are already well advanced of British standards, so HANSE HAUS is
able to construct your new home with energy requirements that are just 25% or less of UK regulations.
In order to do this, HANSE HAUS pay particular attention to the “envelope” of your new home. Thermal
‘U values’ of external walls, roofs and windows are critical to produce an airtight building and this
detailed and specialist process undertaken by HANSE HAUS creates an ultra-low energy home.
