A NATIONAL ART<br />

COMPETITION FOR<br />

YEARS <strong>10</strong> - <strong>13</strong> &<br />

FOUNDATION/DIPLOMA


The work and entry<br />

1. Your creation can be as large as you like, just<br />

remember to keep it landscape. Your <strong>art</strong>work will be<br />

recreated <strong>for</strong> print so un<strong>for</strong>tunately sculptures, film, 3D<br />

and audio won’t work.<br />

2. You don’t have to send us your actual <strong>art</strong>work <strong>for</strong><br />

judging – a photo or a jpeg will be fine. The image you<br />

send us of your entry should be no larger than 1200px<br />

wide at 150dpi resolution.<br />

3. Artwork submitted must be original and have been<br />

created by the <strong>art</strong>ist(s) named in the submission.<br />

4. Artwork can be submitted by someone other than the<br />

<strong>art</strong>ist, but by submitting the entrant must confirm that<br />

they have express permission of the <strong>art</strong>ist to represent<br />

them.<br />

5. Entering <strong>art</strong>ists are confirming that they are in year<br />

groups <strong>10</strong> - <strong>13</strong> or Foundation/Diploma only. Artists found<br />

to be younger/older than this will be disqualified.<br />

6. Artwork submitted <strong>for</strong> the <strong>competition</strong> must be<br />

exclusive and not appear on other public relations/<br />

advertisements without permission from the AUB<br />

and JCDecaux.<br />

7. Entry is taken as consent to reproduce your <strong>art</strong>work.<br />

Artwork will only be used <strong>for</strong> purposes connected to<br />

the ‘Who are you 2’ <strong>competition</strong> and will be credited.<br />

Copyright of work remains with the <strong>art</strong>ist and any<br />

enquiries <strong>for</strong> copyright will be addressed to the <strong>art</strong>ist.<br />

Artwork will not be sold as p<strong>art</strong> of this <strong>competition</strong>.<br />

8. Submissions must be accompanied by the entrants<br />

name, year group, address, e-mail and telephone number.<br />

Artwork submitted without this in<strong>for</strong>mation will not<br />

be considered.<br />

9. Entries must arrive by 12.00 noon on 15th April<br />

20<strong>13</strong>. Entries after the deadline will not be considered.<br />

There are two <strong>competition</strong> categories which entries will<br />

be allocated to after submission: <strong>years</strong> <strong>10</strong> - 11 and<br />

<strong>years</strong> 12 - <strong>13</strong> plus Foundation/Diploma.<br />

<strong>10</strong>. Successful entrants will be notified via e-mail/<br />

telephone if they are shortlisted on 16th April 20<strong>13</strong>.<br />

Shortlisted entries will <strong>for</strong>m p<strong>art</strong> of the public vote on<br />

Facebook until 19th April 20<strong>13</strong>. If you are not notified by<br />

15th March, please assume that your submission <strong>for</strong> short<br />

listing has been unsuccessful.


11. > The top 20 winning entries (<strong>10</strong> from<br />

each category) will be notified on 24th April<br />

20<strong>13</strong> with <strong>art</strong>work appearing on billboards<br />

from 20th May - 3rd June 20<strong>13</strong>.<br />

12. The ‘Who are you 2’ <strong>competition</strong><br />

decisions on the selection of <strong>art</strong>work is final<br />

and no correspondence will be entered into.<br />

THE EXHIBITION<br />

The 20 winners will be invited to London <strong>for</strong> a<br />

celebratory event which will include a chance<br />

to see their <strong>art</strong>work on billboards.<br />

Coverage of the celebration event in London<br />

and the private view at AUB will be documented<br />

by a photographer/film maker and be used at a<br />

later date in publicity materials.<br />

By entering into the <strong>competition</strong>, we assume<br />

that you have read and agreed to the above<br />

terms and conditions.
