To Our Gentle Giant
Tribute from Brian‘s grandchildren.
Read by Katie - Grandaughter
Grandad had the kindest
eyes. He walked like a
penguin in disguise, his heart
was proud just like a lion, the
centre of our family, Grandad
Brian.
He always did everything to
support us, took us under his
wing and taught us how to
cherish family and be the best
that we could be.
We will miss him every day his
smiley face, the way he’d say
‘Ello Darlin’ when he saw us and
would move the heavens for us.
A gentle giant, young at heart
Grandad was well-read, an
inspiration and smart and
rather sprightly for his age with
his ipad and Facebook page.
He was an amazing Grandad
this football crazy Fulham lad a
die-hard fan who got his kicks
watching the side from SW6.
Grandad loved the Eastbourne
air and met some lovely people
there always finding common
ground with friends of old and
friends new-found.
He was honest, generous, kind
and fun welcoming to everyone
who joined the close knit
Faulkner clan the family he’d
built with our lovely Nan.
He’s a man we can’t replace his
zest for life; his warm embrace;
his bacci tin; his magic tricks;
his weakness for Ham, Egg and
Chips.
The sight of him on Christmas
day Fulham hat proudly on
display; how he filled our lives
with laughter and always made
us feel looked after.
Now we’ve lost him to the stars
we’re so proud that he was ours
that we shared our lives
together and he will live in us
forever.
With his love we all were
blessed,
Brian Frank Faulkner;
Granddad; the best.

The Family Chain
Read by Michael - Son-In-Law
We little knew that
morning, God was
going to call your name.
In life we loved your dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose
you, you did not go alone, for
part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
Goodbye my love Goodbye
Hear the wind sing a sad
old song it knows I'm
leaving you today.
You left us beautiful
memories, your love is still
our guide and though we
cannot see you, you are
always by our side.
Sung by Demis Roussos
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.
See the stars in the skies
above they'll shine wherever
I may roam.
Please don't cry or my heart
will break when I go on my
way.
Goodbye my love, goodbye
goodbye and au revoir, as
long as you remember me
I'll never be too far.
Goodbye my love, goodbye
I always will be true so hold
me in your dreams till I come
back to you.
I will pray every lonely night
that soon they'll guide me
home.
Goodbye my love, goodbye
goodbye and au revoir as
long as you remember me I'll
never be too far.
Goodbye my love, goodbye
I always will be true so hold
me in your dreams till I come
back to you

A MOMENT OF REMEMBERING
THE GRACE PRAYER AND BLESSING
Dance with my Father
Sung by Luther Vandross
Back when I was a child before life
removed all the innocence my
father would lift me high and dance
with my mother and me and then spin
me around til I fell asleep then up the
stairs he would carry me and I knew
for sure, I was loved.
If I could get another chance another
walk, another dance with him I‘d play
a song that would never ever end how
I‘d love, love, love, to dance with my
father again.
When I and my mother will disagree
to get my way I would run from her
to him he‘d make me laugh just to
comfort me yeah, yeah, then finally
make me do just what my mama says.
Later that night when I was asleep
he left a dollar under my sheet never
dreamed that he would be gone from
me if I could steal one final glance one
final step, one final dance with him
I‘d play a song that would never ever
end‚ cause I‘d love, love, love, love to
dance with my father again.
Sometimes I‘d listen outside her door
And I‘d hear how my mama cried for
him I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me.
I know, I‘m praying for much too
much but could you send back the
only man she loved I know you don‘t
do it usually but dear Lord she‘s dying
to dance with my father again every
night I fall asleep and this is all I ever
dream.
I know You don‘t do it usually
But dear Lord she‘s dying to dance
with my father again.
