Dear friends,
With reference to the letter from our Vice-Chancellor sir to the APSRTC and the discussion
he had with Sri. A.K. Khan, Vice-Chairman & MD, APSRTC, APSRTC has agreed to provide
1980 internship opportunities for our students of all three campuses put together from
Mechanical, Civil and CSE/ECE departments.
I am now sending this letter on behalf of our Vice-Chancellor sir with a request to send the
details of students as per the particulars given below (Please note that APSRTC has 6 Zonal
workshops and 210 Bus depots cum maintenance shops which would facilitate the
internship opportunities as follows):

These 210 bus depots with garages for bus maintenance are available throughout AP and
may be convenient for RGUKT students to choose.
Please note that the numbers given in the brackets are all the units put together for each
campus and outside ones are the number of internship opportunities for each campus per
unit (for example 6/7 (outside) indicates the number of opportunities per unit for basara
campus where as 40 (in brackets) indicates the total number of opportunities provided for
the basara campus)
The total internship opportunities are put together to the tune of 2000
Following are the important action warranted with immediate effect:
1. Please bring this announcement to the notice of all the students.
2. Advise them to browse APSRTC website (www.apsrtc.gov.in) to choose a Zonal
workshop or Bus depot cum maintenance shop as their choice and the individual
should submit an application to the local Faculty In-Charge(Placements) along with
required details and chose place for internship.
3. The local Faculty In-Charge(Placements) should shortlist the applications, finalize
the allotment and send them to the Central Faculty In-Charge(Placement).

4. Central FIC(P) would moderate the allocations, finalize the allotment and would
communicate to Sri. Komaraiah, Chief Manager (Employee & Empowerment),
A.P.S.R.T.C, Bus Bhavan, Mushirabad, Hyd – 20 and also the local FIC(Placements)
Our Vice-Chancellor sir feels that this whole set of actions should take place within this
week. The training at RTC may have the following components:
1. Workshop practice and maintenance
2. Automobile repairing and maintenance
3. Building maintenance
4. Management services including operations(fleet operations), database and
computerization of services
Students who are looking for training (internships) in these areas are advised to apply.
Our Vice-Chancellor sir already discussed with the higher authorities of AP Irrigation dept.,
AP Genco and AP Transco, internship opportunities from these dept./corporations are also
assured and expected shortly.

cum maintenance shops of APSRTC respectively. The links are also available on our website.
