LBC .. A/LBH .. A linear ball bearings · LPA linear plain bearings
In order to keep abreast of ever
increasing user demands, SKF Linearsysteme
GmbH has fundamentally
revised its linear ball bearings of series
LBC (ISO series 3).
The resultant new linear ball bearings
offer distinct advantages over the
former LBC series and the linear ball
bearings currently available in the
market. A particularly important fact is
that the new ISO series 3 bearings can
now also be supplied in a corrosionresistant
standard version. Moreover,
their integral double-lip seal permits
‘for-life’ lubrication under
standardoperating conditions.
As a matter of course, the new linear
ball bearings are interchangeable with
the former LBC series and all linear ball
bearings currently available. LBC .. A
linear ball bearings are available for
shaft diameters from 5 to 80 mm. They
are characterised by high load carrying
capacity. As with all SKF linear ball
bearings, they are available with a
choice of shields or seals. LBC .. A
linear ball bearings are, in general,
designed for grease lubrication. The
cage is provided with a through-bored
radial hole which permits the attachment
of a grease nipple to provide
longitudinal and axial location. Grease
may be applied direct onto the shaft
through this hole. For the relubrication
of LBHT .. A linear ball bearings described
on this page, the housing must
be provided with a grease distribution
channel in the bore. The grease is then
forced onto the raceway between the
load carrying plates.
Information on the location of these
attachment holes and grease nipples is
shown on pages 16 and 17 of this
catalogue.
Stainless
The application of linear bearings has
been extended by this new type with
the introduction of a corrosion resistant
variant Raceway segments and balls
can be specified in high alloy stainless
steel by adding the suffix HV6 to the
designation, e.g. LBCR 16A-2LS/HV6.
In combination with our stainless steel
shafts, the linear ball bearing LBC .. A
thus offers the possibility of realising a
design completely of stainless steel.
