o Support for District Illness Assistance Fund
o Repair and Renovation of CHCs, PHCs and SHCs
o Cesarean Delivery Kit for District Hospitals
o Capacity Building, IEC, Training, Health Camp, School Health activities as
proposed by individual districts.
o Innovative efforts of districts on the line of departmental policies.
o Support to Prasav Hetu Parivahan Evam Upchar Yojana.
o Support to Balshakti Yojana for nutritional rehabilitation and treatment of
severely malnourished children.
o Support to the alternative vaccine delivery scheme for transportation of vaccine
at village level on immunization day.
o IFA and Deworming Tablets for school children benefited by MDM scheme.
o Ante-snake venom in health institutions.
o Hyderoseal operations in 11 most affected districts.
o Rapid Diagnostic for early diagnosis of Malaria.
District plans were implemented successfully at district level using DFID untied
funds for above activities. Funds were released to the District Health Societies under
the chairmanship of Incharge Minister and District Collector. Intersectoral coordination
and community participation remained as the key strategies for district plan
implementation.
At state level, gaps were identified and following activities were taken up to
strengthen basic health services:
o Support to Dindayal Antyodaya Upachar Yojana.
o Support to Vijayaraje Janani Kalyan Bima Yojana for increasing institutional
delivery.
o Defaulter Tracking System at AWCs for the monitoring of routine immunization.
o Support for Mother and Child Health Card developed by WCD Department.
Apart from this, MP Health Sector Reform Strategy has been prepared and
being finalized. On the line of the strategy, process of receiving a sector support of Rs.
750 Crores from DFID has been initiated.
