AFTER PROM COMMITTEE 2011
Dear Junior and Senior Parents,
March 2012
Prom time is fast approaching and so is the annual BBHHS After Prom Party. After Prom is
sponsored by the PSO and is one of the largest events we provide for our students. It is open to all
BBHHS Juniors and Seniors, regardless if they attend the formal Prom. The goal of After Prom is to
provide a safe environment where our kids can have fun, and parents can have peace of mind knowing
where our kids are and when they should be home.
In an effort to streamline things (and save on cost and energy) this year we will not be sending out a Jr.
/Sr. mailing. All the forms and information will be posted under the PSO tab for After Prom on the
BBHHS web site: http://www.bbhcsd.org/index.phpsite=hs and Flyer Central. We will also be using
the web site “Sign Up Genius” for volunteers and food donation sign up.
We will also be attempting the first solicitations for our primary fundraiser, our annual Raffle,
electronically, through “Constant Contact”. Raffle information will also be available on Flyer
Central and the BBHHS website and you may request ticket through “Sign Up Genius”, as well.

After Prom is funded totally through generous donations from our community and our BBHHS
parents, and chaperoned totally by volunteer parents. Following Prom, Brecksville-Broadview
Heights High School is open to all prom attendees as well as any BBHHS Junior or senior from 11:30 PM
until approximately 3:00 am. We will once again provide an abundance of activities: casino games,
karaoke, photo booth, videos, food, inflatable games (including the ever-popular “Iron Man” obstacle
course and the Mechanical Bull), a game room including corn hole, ping pong, and more. The evening
ends with a prize drawing. Prizes range from Xboxes, Wii’s, flat screen TV’s, to gift cards for gas, coffee,
Chipotle and Debit cards. All activities are included in the $12 ticket price.
We would like you to encourage your son or daughter to attend this year. We would also
encourage you to support After Prom through your donation of time, food, and/or the purchase of
Raffle tickets. Please see the HS page on the District website for all information regarding 2012 After
Prom.

The Junior and Senior parents have a fun-filled After Prom planned with lots of activities and prizes. There is an opportunity
to participate in many activities: several large inflatables in the gym, casino games, karaoke, photos, food, videos, and more.

There will be no smoking and no alcoholic beverages allowed. NO OUTSIDE CONTAINERS WILL BE PERMITTED.
To insure all have an enjoyable time, we have set up the following guidelines:
1. All BBHHS Juniors and Seniors who attend the Prom may attend the After Prom party and bring their dates. BBHHS
Juniors and Seniors who DO NOT attend the Prom MAY ALSO attend the After Prom party but are not permitted to bring
dates who are not Juniors or Seniors of BBHHS or who are not students of BBHHS.
2. Tickets cost $12.00 per person and will be sold at the high school during lunch the week prior to Prom. They will also be
sold at the door on the night of the event.
3. Students are required to arrive prior to 12:45am. NO ENTRY IS ALLOWED AFTER 12:45AM. The parents of any student
who has not arrived prior to 12:30am will be contacted by phone, and the student will NOT be eligible for the Grand Prize
drawing.
4. All attendees at the BBHHS After Prom will be subject to a breathalyzer check at the door. Students refusing the test
will be denied admission and face disciplinary consequences. Guests who are 21 and older will also be subject to a
breathalyzer check and will not be permitted to enter the event if they register "positive" on the breathalyzer.
5. If any student leaves the After Prom prior to its conclusion for any reason, the student will not be permitted to reenter,
and his/her parents will be notified by phone, regardless of the student’s age. (Exceptions to this rule do apply
when certain sporting events are held the next day. Please notify us in advance if this applies to your student.)
6. There will be Grand Prizes of cash and large prizes, which can ONLY be won by a BBHHS Junior or Senior in
attendance. The prize drawings will begin about 2:30 a.m., and conclude with the Grand Prize drawing. Your entrance
ticket will be used for these drawings. Please fill out the ticket information before entering After Prom.
7. There will also be door prize drawings for prizes during the evening for which ALL students in attendance will be eligible.
Students should have the information on the ticket stub filled out before entering the After Prom.
8. Casino rules, etc. will be posted at each game table in the cafeteria.
9. Students must have a signed waiver form (by parents if under 18) at the time of purchasing the After Prom ticket in
order to participate in the inflatable and gym games.
9. Students convert their casino fun money winnings into raffle tickets, and then choose which of the casino prize drawings
they want to enter. This raffle will begin about 2:20am.
10. Students must be present to win any prize.
11. Dress casually and wear tennis shoes since a lot of activities will take place in the gym. NO SANDALS OR SHOES OTHER
THAN TENNIS SHOES MAY BE WORN IN THE GYM. Socks or bare feet are acceptable.
12. A variety of food and beverages will be provided, but must be kept in the designated areas.
13. PLEASE ENTER THE SCHOOL THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE BY THE OFFICE.
