Gerber Innovations Appoints Francisco Solé to International Sales Director
Company looks to Europe and Middle East markets for continued growth
TOLLAND, Conn., USA, April 24, 2013 – Gerber Innovations (GI), a leading manufacturer of
computer-controlled cutting systems for the packaging and graphics industries, has appointed
Francisco Solé as International Sales director. Solé is responsible for further developing GI’s Latin
American market and breaking new ground with packaging companies across Europe and the
Middle East.
“Since joining GI in 2008, Francisco has been pivotal in developing
our Latin American markets, more than tripling our business in the
region,” said Steve Gore, vice president and general manager of
Gerber’s Industrial Business. “Given this and his experience working
for several other companies in Latin America, Europe and the Middle
East, I have no doubt he will succeed in delighting users in these
markets as well.”
“I look forward to demonstrating Gerber’s capabilities to an entirely
new audience of packaging professionals across Europe and the
Middle East,” Solé said. “Gerber Innovations is the only manufacturer of automated cutting
hardware for the packaging industry that manufactures its systems in the U.S. However, through
our parent company, Gerber Technology, we have a strong local team of field service personnel,
a fully-staffed demo facility in Brussels and a complete line of spare parts available from our
warehouse in the U.K. All of this ensures our customers get the best of both worlds – highlyreliable
systems designed and engineered in the U.S., and support professionals around the
corner when they’re needed.”

Solé holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from American
International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, U.S. He previously held positions with
Kanzaki Specialty Papers, Contact, Inc., an export management company, and Gerber Scientific
Products, Gerber’s sign-making and graphic design equipment business.
Earlier this year, Gerber Innovations introduced its GERBERcutter ® GT3000 – the most affordable
cutting system for the packaging industry, specifically designed to cut and crease all corrugated
materials ranging in thickness from micro-flute to double wall as well as folding carton materials. It
is the newest addition to the company’s existing family of cutters that drill, rout and cut a wide
variety of materials.
