ABOUT GIGOPTIX, INC.
GigOptix is a leading supplier of semiconductor and optical components that enable high‐speed information streaming and address
emerging high‐growth opportunities in the communications, industrial, defense and avionic industries. Our products address the
continuous expansion of bandwidth needed to support the ever increasing volume of data being generated in long and short reach
optical and wireless networks, datacenters, consumer electronics, military and avionic communications. Since inception in July
2007, our acquisitions of iTerra, Helix, Lumera, ChipX and Endwave have broadened our capabilities to include Optical, ASIC & RF
product lines. We offer a broad portfolio of high performance MMIC solutions that enable next generation wireless microwave
systems up to 90GHz, drivers, TIAs and TFPS optical modulators for 40G, 100G and beyond fiber‐optic telecommunications and datacommunications
networks. We also offer a wide range of digital and mixed‐signal ASIC solutions and we enable product lifetime
extensions for obsolete ASICs & FPGAs through our Sunset Rescue Program.
Our Business
We are focused on the high‐speed 10‐100Gb/s optical networking space, 5‐90GHz high‐frequency wireless mobile backhaul space,
and custom ASIC solutions. Optical networks use light waves and fiber optics to transmit digital information and have replaced
copper cables to become the backbone technology for the high‐speed internet. GigOptix’s optical technology enables the bandwidth
required to stream the ever growing internet traffic volume required for optimal network performance. Our optical products are
found in many different mission critical network applications and in all junctions on the network where the fiber meets the server.
Our products are used in ultra long haul 10,000 km undersea cable and long haul 1,000 km fiber‐optics, to short range 100 m fiber in
data centers, and 100 cm for consumer electronics device connectivity. Wireless mobile backhaul solutions are emerging as a
versatile and integral component for sending point to point data over long distances. The wireless backhaul solutions in commercial
or enterprise networks have become very attractive because of their high data rates, ease of installation and scalability. Our ASIC
solutions are focused towards Industrial, Medical, Mil/Aero and Communication applications with our unique Structured ASIC,
Hybrid ASIC and Standard Cell technology.
