a wide selection of aesthetic and
performance options. With a
surprisingly low 2″ profile, this slender
rectilinear shape merges simplicity
with sophistication. Plank places soft,
comfortable light on ceilings, walls,
and work areas by utilizing direct and
indirect components. This harmonious
blending of uplight and downlight creates
a spacious and natural effect.
Low Ceiling Heights
Low ceiling heights no longer preclude
the use of attractive architectural fluorescent
lighting. Plank Plus Liso incorporates
a revolutionary light delivery
system to spread light evenly above
the luminaire, minimizing “hot spots” of
light when mounted close to the ceiling.
By providing a choice of either T8
or T5/T5 HO lamp and ballast technology,
the Liso system will adhere to any
project’s standard lamp specification.
Plank and Plank Plus Liso allow a consistent
aesthetic to be carried throughout
a facility even when ceiling heights
and performance requirements vary.
Structural Excellence
Plank and Plank Plus Liso are engineered and
manufactured for maximum strength, smooth installation,
and structural excellence. Alera’s patented die cast inner
joiners (patent #6,796,676 B2) assure straight rows.
Tongue and groove connections prevent light leak. Simple
plug and play wiring facilitates effortless installation.
Easily adjustable cable yoke hangers maintain a low and
pleasing profile to augment the slender 2″ housing depth.

The desired close-to-ceiling candela plot is a wide distribution with a low peak and a modest dip at the center
forming a low, open “V” shape. The candela plot should appear even with minimal peaks and valleys along
the distribution curve. Fluctuations may indicate a trend toward dark striping or bright spots. The low, wide,
modest “V” shape indicates the product will trend toward a wide and even throw with a reduction of light at
the center (directly above the fixture housing) to produce a perception of even lighting on the ceiling plane.
