<strong>Shangri</strong>-<strong>La</strong> is a fictional place described in the novel, “Lost Horizon”, written by British<br />
writer James Hilton in 1933. In it, "<strong>Shangri</strong>-<strong>La</strong>" is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently<br />
guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Himalaya. Since then,<br />
<strong>Shangri</strong>-<strong>La</strong> has become synonymous with any earthly paradise in the world. In china, the<br />
southwest travel destinations, such as Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, have recently become<br />
the most popular <strong>Shangri</strong>-<strong>La</strong> for tourists to pursue.<br />
<strong>Tour</strong> Itinerary<br />
Day 1 Kunming<br />
Our tour guide will pick you up at Kunming airport. The highlight of today’s itinerary is<br />
the famous Stone Forest. Considered as one of the world's natural wonders, in here,<br />
massive pillars of gray rock have formed a gigantic forest of stone. Some of these
natural stone formations have the appearance of animals such as snakes, elephants,<br />
birds, and dragons. Dinner is served with the minority dance show. Stay in hotel in<br />
Kunming.<br />

Day 2 Kunming-Dali<br />
Take an early flight from Kunming to Dali. Visit the old historic town of Dali, the Three<br />
Pagoda, and Butterfly Springs, which is also called "Allegiance Spring" by the Bai<br />
minority people, as it is here that true and lasting love may be found. Erhai lake cruise<br />
will be another highlight of the day. Shaped like an ear, in a sunny day, the crystal<br />
waters of Erhai <strong>La</strong>ke and the snow mantled Cangshan Mount radiate with each other.<br />
Thus the scene was commonly described as "Silver Cangshan and Jade Erhai". Stay in<br />
hotel in Dali.<br />

Day 3 Dali-Lijiang<br />
Take a bus to Lijiang, an old town designated by UNESCO as one of the world's major<br />
cultural heritages. Heavily populated with Naxi minority people, Lijiang is home to the<br />
ancient Dongba culture, where you can see the unique architecture style and ancient<br />
water supply system is still maintained. After that, you will visit Dry Sea, and take an<br />
aerial lift up to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where melt snow flow to the foot of<br />
the mountain and form the White Water River. Stay in the hotel in Lijiang. B/L/D
Day 4 Lijiang-Kunming<br />
Fly back to Kunming in the morning. After lunch, you will sent to the airport for the<br />
