Sav<strong>in</strong>g lives at home and abroad CDMS Annual Report 2011/2012<br />
Dr. Kristi L. Koenig, Director of the Center for <strong>Disaster</strong> Medical Sciences at the University of<br />
California, Irv<strong>in</strong>e, consulted with key leaders <strong>in</strong> Australia, lectured, met with students and reviewed<br />
disaster plans while serv<strong>in</strong>g as a visit<strong>in</strong>g fellow this spr<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the School of Public Health, Faculty of<br />
Health at Queensland University of Technology.<br />
Dr. Kristi L. Koenig, CDMS Director, received<br />
a Fulbright Specialist grant award from the<br />
Council for International Exchange of Scholars.<br />
As a Fulbright scholar, Dr. Koenig lectured on<br />
<strong>Disaster</strong> Medic<strong>in</strong>e from May 18th to June 1st<br />
with<strong>in</strong> the <strong>European</strong> <strong>Master</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Disaster</strong><br />
Medic<strong>in</strong>e organized by the University of Eastern<br />
Piedmont.”<br />
