Over four days <strong>and</strong> more than one hundred<br />
openings, exhibitions, workshops <strong>and</strong> parties,<br />
with fashion, furniture, city planning <strong>and</strong><br />
skyr c<strong>and</strong>y, Icel<strong>and</strong>’s most important annual design<br />
festival, DesignMarch, transformed Reykjavík into<br />
one big venue full of the creativity, originality <strong>and</strong> festivity<br />
that is the local design scene. Modeled on the<br />
traditional Icel<strong>and</strong>ic town fair, rather than the professional<br />
trade shows of the modern era, <strong>and</strong> including<br />
people from all fields of design-fishermen to fashionistas-more<br />
than ten percent of the nation turned<br />
up <strong>and</strong> joined the celebration.<br />
