Whitney Tax deductibility of donations In 2008 SDN Children’s Services Inc established a subsidiary company — SDN Child and Family Services Pty Limited. The company was endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (‘DGR’) by the Australian Taxation Office on 19 December 2008 under Subdivision 30-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, 4.1.1 Public Benevolent Institution (‘PBI’). All donations greater than $2 made to SDN Child and Family Services Pty Ltd are tax-deductible. 36 SDN Annual Report 2010
‘ We’ve been helping families to remember how much progress they’ve made and to keep their eye on where they want to head. We can see this makes a positive difference. When you have a child with a disability, sometimes it can be hard to see these things when you’re in the middle of all of life’s ups and downs.
