Transit Operating Fund
SOURCES OF REVENUE
The primary sources of funding for Transit are grants and user fees (fares) paid by
theriders of CCT. Grants are provided at the federal, state, county, and other local
governments or entities to support CCT.
County Grant. The largest grant received by Transit is in the form of local funding
transferred from the Cobb County General Fund. The amount of this county grant is
determined by defining the gap between projected expenses and the revenue from all
other sources. The table below provides a history of the county interfund transfer
support of the Transit Operating Fund.
