NOTICE INVITING TENDER
Hydro-Pump (Charging Pump) for Power Pack Unit’s Axial Pump of Stbd. SRP
System of Tug Rani Siromoni got damaged and some Parts are found broken as a result
the total Power Pack Unit of Stbd. SRP System has become non-functional.
Prima-facie investigation revealed that a Pinion attached with the Division Plate
has broken which is to be supplied as per sample available on board the Vessel. If the
said Pinion and the Plate are not available in the market as per sample, then the same is to
be manufactured as per composition of the materials (Test report is attached herewith). If
manufacturing of the Pinion and Plate is not possible as per materials of the test report,
then the same is to be prepared nearest to the materials as per test report. It is also to be
noted that 2 Nos. Bearing Bush also needs to be manufactured and fitted in place. The
entire works i.e. manufacture of the Pinion, Plate, Bush, fitment of the same in the
Hydro-Pump and activation of the entire system is to be guaranteed for a period of six
months.
In view of the above, Haldia Dock Complex/Kolkata Port Trust invites sealed
quotation in Two Parts, i.e. Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid, on emergency basis
from the reputed Ship Repairing Firms / KoPT empanelled Firms for making good the
above defects of Tug Rani Siromoni along with the materials and Consumables as
required. The quotation / Offer is to be submitted on lump sum basis including all charges
and materials as required for making good the defects as well as activation of the Pump
along with the safety system of the Power Pack Unit to the Office of the Undersignatory
by 10-05-2010 within 1200 hours and the Tenders will be opened on same day at
1500 hours. The entire work is to be completed in all respect within 30 days from the
placement of firm Work Order. The successful bidder shall make a Security Deposit @
10% of the Order Value with Haldia Dock Complex immediately after placement of
Work Order. L.D. and all other terms and conditions of KoPT’s General Conditions of
Contract (1993) shall be applicable. The said General Conditions of Contract will be had
from Websites (www.kolkataporttrust.gov.in / www.haldiadock.gov.in ). The Ship
Repairing Firms who are not empanelled with KoPT may also apply; subject to deposit of
Earnest Money
For further details of tender documents, interested bidders may visit our Kolkata

downloaded from the Website (www.kolkataporttrust.gov.in / www.haldiadock.gov.in ).
The cost of Tender Document at Rs. 100/- may please be enclosed in the form of Bank
Draft drawn in favour of Haldia Dock Complex on any schedule bank along with the
Cover-I of the tender while submitting their offer in the office of the Manager (MO).

Interest bidders also may visit the broken Spares available on board the Tug Rani
Siromoni from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. lying at Dock Tug Jetty (HDC) before quoting their
offer. Free Gate Pass will be issued for this purpose upon prior intimation.

The bidders are advised to observe the following, in totality, while submitting
their offers.
The offer is to be submitted in two parts.
The sealed covers, i.e. Part - I & II should contain the following;-
Part – I.
(a) Bank Draft of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only.
(b) Earnest Money Deposit – Rs. 1000.00 (Rupees one thousand only). (For
Non-KoPT empanelled Firms).

(d) Copy of Professional Tax clearance Certificate.
(e) Copy of Valid Service Tax registration.
(f) Copy of valid E.P.F. & E.S.I. Certificate,
(g) Copy of Up to date Firm’s Registration Certificate,
(h) Copy of Current S.T. & I.T. Clearance Certificate.
(i) Sealed and signed copy of Tender Document on each page.
Part – II.
(a)
Price Bid,
The Price Bid as per Bill of Quantities of the Tender Document should further
be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope distinctly superscribing “PRICE
DO NOT OPEN.” No extraneous clause shall be included in the Priced Bill of
Quantities.
All the sealed envelopes under Part-I, & II above should be sealed inside a bigger
envelope and this bigger envelope is to be submitted at the office of Manager (MO),
Haldia Dock Complex within scheduled date and time of submission. Each of the
envelopes should also be superscribed with Tender Number, date and the contents on
the cover distinctly.
.Security Deposit @ 10% will be applicable as per HDC/KoPT Rules. This
amount will be 90% less of total cost and will remain with HDC/KoPT for that period.
The said Security Deposit will be refundable without interest after successful execution
of the complete order and completion of guarantee period.

Payment Term:-
Payment will be made within 30 days after completion of repair followed by
successful trial.
Completion Time:-
The entire work is to be completed in all respect within 30 days from the
placement of firm Work Order.
Validity:-
The validity of the offer should be counted from the date of opening of the
Tender (Price Bid), which should not be less than 180 days from the date of
opening of the Price Bid (Part – II).
KoPT / HDC reserves right to reject the Tender at any time without assigning any
reasons thereof.
