Autumn / <strong>Winter</strong><br />

Children’s Christmas Celebration<br />

Words, images, sounds and imagination all delightfully mixed and<br />

presented in entertaining fashion by an expert storyteller. Add the<br />

wonderful world of puppet theatre staged in the Billiard Room<br />

and you have a magical <strong>Glamis</strong> experience.<br />

Sessions last approx 50mins and take place on:<br />

Sat 10th & Sun 11th and Sat 17th & Sun 18th December<br />

Christmas Shopping<br />

&Festive Flavours<br />

Escape from the busy town centre, and congested car parks. During<br />

November – December there is no car park charge to come into the<br />

castle grounds, and the Pavilion Gift Shop has a wide range of<br />

unusual and stylish gifts or just special treats. The Victorian Kitchen<br />

Restaurant with Yule log stove, and warming festive food, ensures<br />

an enjoyable experience all round.<br />

Events<br />

Grotto & Santa Claus<br />

Santa will be stopping off at <strong>Glamis</strong> on 10th & 11th, 17th & 18th<br />

December. See him in his enchanting castle grotto and don’t forget<br />

to bring your letter to Santa.<br />

Price: £6.50 per child (includes gift).<br />

No booking necessary<br />

Concerts at <strong>Glamis</strong><br />

Experience an evening of Carols and music in the magnificent<br />

setting of the 17th century Drawing Room. The evening includes<br />

performances from the accomplished Perth based choir, Chansons.<br />

Enjoy a glass of wine and mince pie during the interval in the<br />

stunning setting of the Victorian Dining Room. Why not treat<br />

yourself and make the evening extra special by having dinner in<br />

the exclusive 16th century chamber before the concert begins.<br />

Dates: 17th & 18th December Booking essential<br />

On Saturday 10th December – The South Esk Strings will<br />

perform Traditional Scottish music with a festive hint in<br />

the beautiful Drawing Room. This evening will have the<br />

same format as the Carol Concert and must be booked in advance.<br />

Private Festive Dining<br />

Choose a wonderfully atmospheric setting for your festive get together.<br />

You will experience the warmest of welcomes by the Yule log stove in<br />

the private 16th century chamber. Select from a festive 3 course lunch<br />

menu, and enjoy the benefits of many extras in this exclusive setting.<br />

Price £26.00 per person (minimum charge 10 people). Maximum<br />

<strong>Castle</strong> Tours<br />

Guided tours reveal <strong>Glamis</strong> in all its glory. Most weekends the tours<br />

take on a Victorian theme and mulled wine is served in the Victorian<br />

Dining Room throughout December. Floral art displays will add<br />

a special touch to the festive decorations.<br />

Please check our website for confirmed dates when School Choirs<br />

and Brass Bands will be performing.<br />

<strong>Winter</strong> Welly Walks<br />

The gardens and grounds are Free of Charge to visit during<br />

November and December, and the winter landscape is quite stunning.<br />

10th & 11th, 17th & 18th December, we will have an organised <strong>Winter</strong><br />

Welly Walks in the castle grounds.<br />

Prices and times will be displayed on the castle website.<br />
