FUTURE OF THE FRAMEWORK
Version 1.1 of the ISCF, upon its release at the
Global Coaches House in London during the
Olympic and Paralympic Games, will spur further
research and consultation. Through open
dialogue, the Project Group will further refine
the framework to produce version 1.2 for the
Global Coach Conference in South Africa in
September 2013. At that point, the intention is
to seek the support of partners for the adoption
of an International Convention on Sport Coaching.
Thereafter, the framework will be refined on
a quadrennial basis.
In advancing an athlete-centred approach,
this document will foster coaching plans, decisions,
systems and actions that enhance the
sport experience for all. Sport organisations,
coaches and athletes will be the most apparent
beneficiaries, but the positive ramifications of
this and subsequent iterations of the framework
will be felt worldwide.
