*Participants are asked to perform 10 hours of community service teaching tennis preferably in a multicultural community
It was an amazing experience for our team. I strongly encouraged
varsity and club players to go through it to get a better understanding
of the basic fundamentals of stroke production and
an appreciation for teaching. Preparing my team for life after
college, whether it includes playing tennis or not, is also a top
priority for me as a coach. The presentation and communication
skills developed at the workshop will help my student-athletes
prepare for a career in teaching or for any job that requires leading
a group of people. All in all, it was a rockin’ team building
weekend!
Luke Jensen, Syracuse University, Women’s Head Coach
The workshop not only helped me to pass the certification
tests, it made me a better, more confident tennis teacher. My
students and tennis director noticed the difference immediately.
After graduation, PTR Certification helped me to land the
job at the club I wanted."
Tim Shaw, University of Wisconsin
My PTR certification will help me get a job if I can't find one
in my Physical Education field right away. Who knows, I may
love it so much that I'll never even look for an in-classroom
teaching position. When I tell people I’m PTR Certified, they
are that much more interested in taking lessons from me.
Megan A. Hertz, Winona State University
