<strong>2.4</strong> METER VEHICLE/TRAILER-MOUNT <strong>SATCOM</strong> ON-THE-PAUSE ANTENNA SYSTEM<br />

The DRS <strong>2.4</strong> Meter Vehicle/Trailer-Mount <strong>SATCOM</strong> On-the-Pause<br />

<strong>Antenna</strong> <strong>System</strong> offers the most robust and light-weight antenna<br />

of its type and size available. This antenna features a carbon<br />

fiber composite reflector and backbeam structure designed to<br />

provide exceptional performance in a lightweight package. The<br />

custom-designed elevation-over-azimuth cable drive pedestal<br />

provides superior stiffness over existing products on the market.<br />

In addition, the antenna is designed to meet international<br />

performance specifications for commercial or military<br />

applications and is readily available in C, X, Ku and/or Ka-Band<br />

frequencies. Multiple feed configurations are available.<br />

Paired with the DRS FAC-50 Embedded Flexible <strong>Antenna</strong><br />

Controller (FAC) and servo motor drive solution, there is no need<br />

for expensive and heavy cable runs to traditional rack-mount<br />

antenna controllers. The FAC-50 is directly mounted on the<br />

antenna platform and an Ethernet interface allows the user to<br />

monitor and control the antenna from anywhere on the local or<br />

wide area network.<br />

The Windows®user interface comes complete with easy-to-use<br />

satellite databases and North American Aerospace Defense<br />

Command (NORAD) Two-Line Element (TLE) update tools for<br />

program track functions.<br />
