Meeting Today’s Challenges to Provide a Secure Future
RedRock Geolocation System
The DRS RedRock Geolocation System is the most highly
integrated Direction Finding (DF) geolocation system
available today. The system is simply a sensor and a PC.
The sensor includes all antenna and signal processing
equipment integrated in a small, lightweight package. The
PC hosts a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for control and
“heat map” display of battle space emitters for intuitive,
precise geolocation.
The versatility of this system allows the user to unobstrusively
monitor and geolocate target emitters during
overt and covert patrols, in the conduct of countersurveillance
activities, and for counterintelligence purposes. For
example, FAA, FCC, TSA and DHS users are able to monitor
and geolocate emitters operating within unauthorized
frequency ranges or in unauthorized geographic locations.
KEY BENEFITS
● Low profi le -- no visible antennas, no cables required
● Real-time target detection and location of battle space
or other unauthorized emitters.
● Vehicle mount
● Rechargeable batteries make the sensor “self
contained” during operation
KEY FEATURES
● Small, lightweight, and ruggedized
● Advanced heat map GUI provides better analysis
than line of bearing
● 5-minute setup
● Built-In GPS and heading

The RedRock DF geolocation sensor is designed to
support system setup and deployment. From antenna
through signal processing to intuitive GUI, the system
provides a complete end-to-end tactical SIGINT system
with minimal setup or training. The connection between
the sensor and the computer can be wired or wireless,
depending on mission needs. Built-in position and
heading sensors make setup easy. The system’s
magnetic feet allow quick and easy vehicle mounting.
The “heat” map GUI makes operation intuitive. The
system is expandable and can be adapted to other
missions. The GUI runs on Windows ® tablet, laptop, or
desktop computers.
