10th Annual USJF National <strong>Kata</strong> Clinic<br />

September 24th-26th ‘10 Boise, Idaho<br />

Each year judoka from all over the<br />

country gather to practice the various<br />

judo kata. The <strong>United</strong> <strong>States</strong> <strong>Judo</strong><br />

<strong>Federation</strong> is proud to sponsor the<br />

10th Annual USJF National <strong>Kata</strong><br />

Clinic. This year’s USJF National <strong>Kata</strong><br />

Clinic is to be held in the beautiful City<br />

of Trees in Boise, Idaho September<br />

24th-26th 2010 and will be hosted by<br />

the Intermountain Yudanshakai and<br />

Intermountain Black Belt Association.<br />

This years clinic will feature kata instruction<br />

from Sensei Eiko Shepherd<br />

(7th Dan) of St. Louis, MO., Sensei<br />

Noboro Saito (8th Dan) of Clawson,<br />

MI., and Sensei Frances Glaze (6th Dan) of Maumee,<br />

OH. All clinicians bring a tremendous amount of experience,<br />

knowledge, and various national and world recognized<br />

credentials and certifications. The kata clinic will<br />

include instruction in all 7 forms of judo kata including<br />

testing and certification on Sunday September 26th.<br />

Youth ages 10-16 are encouraged to participate and will<br />

be given a reduced rate for all three days of kata instruction.<br />

Bishop Kelly High School is located in West Boise and is<br />

approximately 15 minutes from the Boise Airport and<br />

within close proximity to various accommodations. Participants<br />

will have access to a hospitality room, classroom,<br />

locker room, and showers.<br />

Registration:<br />

Registration will be held on Friday Sep. 24th at 8:00am. All<br />

participants will be required to show a current and valid<br />

USJF, USJI, or USJA membership. All participants will be<br />

required to complete the necessary registration form and<br />

“Waiver and Release of Liability” form prior to participation.<br />

(No Exceptions)<br />

- The first 20 registered participants will receive a FREE 10th<br />

Annual USJF National <strong>Kata</strong> Clinic T-Shirt.<br />

- Participants will receive a USJF participation certificate for<br />

attendance.<br />

- USJF registered participants that test for kata certification<br />

and meet the necessary requirements will receive a USJF<br />

<strong>Kata</strong> Certification Certificate.<br />

- Cost includes daily lunch, snack, and ice water.<br />

- No refunds for participant cancellations.<br />
