Can a functional orthotic environment<br />

change the deformity evolution?<br />

• <strong>KiddieGAIT</strong> is a ground reaction AFO made in<br />

composits to enable its dynamic features. It not<br />

olny helps the child through swing face, it also<br />

controlls the mobility of the foot in several planes<br />

during stance.<br />

• <strong>KiddieGAIT</strong> should be used as a frame to create<br />

an individudally developed orthosis to enhance<br />

gait for children from the age of 9 month.<br />

• <strong>KiddieGAIT</strong> is an AFO with an open heel and an<br />

anterior plate with energy reflecting features. It is<br />

the foundation to allow and control ankle motion<br />

and create a more functional environment.<br />

SoftSHELL for the smaller sizes (Baby) have a slightly different construction<br />

that needs to be combined with a SoftKIT. The closure is integrated<br />

into the SoftSHELL.<br />

Baby sizes are available in Blue and Pink.<br />

To manufacture an AFO for children with change in<br />

tone, contractures and weakness in the muscles is a<br />

major challange.<br />

A lot of different things is going on ”from the top<br />

and down” (the brain controlling gait) and at the<br />

same time ”from the ground and up” (ground, foot,<br />

lower leg and orthosis). Everything effecting each<br />

other, which makes the need for a functional dymanic<br />

chain of movement so important.<br />

Our aim is to create a dynamic and functional<br />

chainreaction with a controlled movement instead<br />

of immobilization and inhibition for structures that<br />

is already weak and with low functionallity when it<br />

is possible.<br />

<strong>KiddieGAIT</strong> is now available in three smaller<br />

”baby” sizes as a complement to the ToeOFF ®<br />
