STANDING VALVE<br />
The standing valve, set in the top nipple above the Y-block, allows free passage for fluids<br />
from below whilst preventing flow in the opposite direction.<br />
The valve is used where tubing pressure tests are required during running in-hole and to<br />
hydraulically set a packer when the completion is at the specified depth.<br />
<strong>Standing</strong> valves are run-in and retrieved using standard “jar-down” wireline tools.<br />
