the cash position of your business. This includes reviewing your financial statements to identify opportunities,
assigning actions, and highlighting techniques for forecasting cash requirements. Business performance management
cash held unnecessarily in your business, Cash flow forecasting techniques, Cash flow decision points, Reviewing
financial statements for liquid assets and liabilities, Aligning key performance indicators with your business plan.
Succession Planning
Speaker:: Tanya Anastasiadis, Director, HR Effective Solutions Pty Ltd
Succession planning is a crucial practice for any organisation large or small. If you do not have a strategic approach
to succession planning the value you have built into your business may well exit when you do. It is important to
have potential successors identified for a smooth and equitable transition; to step in when the time comes. Don’t be
caught unprepared. This session will provide participants with an introduction to the concept of succession planning.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE::
Giving Expert Evidence
The earliest known use of an expert witness in English law came in 1782, when a court that was hearing
litigation relating to the silting-up of Wells harbor in Norfold accepted evidence from a leading civil engineer,
John Smeaton. This decision by the court to accept Smeaton’s evidence is widely cited as the root of modern
rules on expert evidence.
Expert evidence has since been one of the most important components of many civil and criminal cases today.
This two day course invites members to consider the merits of performing every valuation on the assumption that
it will form the basis for the giving of expert evidence. It will cover court guidelines and practicalities, specific areas
such as compensation, rating valuation and family law as well as incorporating an interactive workshop, a moot
court session and assessments. Those successfully completing the course will be awarded a Professional Certificate.
