Scholarship Application
COLLEGE / TECHNICAL SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: $3,000
Deadline: Postmarked by March 1, 2013

Eligibility:
All Fields of Study
High School Seniors who are college-bound or technical school-bound
or college or technical school students in their freshman or sophomore
year who are attending a 2 or 4 year accredited college or trade school.
Scholarship Requirements
1. Immediate family member must be an active member, in good standing, in the Public
Works Association of New Jersey. (Immediate family consists of parents,
grandparents, brothers, and sisters.)
2. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
3. Applicant must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 in High School or a GPA
of 3.0 in college or technical school. Applicant must provide proof of GPA.
4. Submit an essay with this application as to the student’s present and future goals,
along with how Public Works or other service oriented organizations affected
your decision, and how the scholarship money will be used.
5. Submit two (2) letters of reference or recommendation.
6. Scholarship winners and all other applicants will be notified by mail by April 1 st , 2013.

Scholarship Application
CERTIFIED PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER
Amount: $3,500
Deadline: Must be Postmarked by March 1, 2013

Eligibility:
Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM)
Offered by Rutgers, the State University
Government employees presently employed in the Public Works field in
the State of New Jersey who qualify for participation in the CPWM
Program.
Scholarship Requirements
1. A member, in good standing, of the Public Works Association of New Jersey.
2. A United States citizen.
3. Submit a letter for consideration with a brief history of your Public Works career,
including future goals.
4. Submit two (2) letters of recommendation from PWANJ members who hold a valid
CPWM designation.
5. Applicant must pay for the course up front. Upon satisfactory completion of
each course, the applicant must submit paperwork to the Executive Board
Treasurer for reimbursement.
6. Scholarship winners and other applicants will be notified by mail by April 1, 2013.
