Sonia Quiroga Thomas, graduated in Communications and Marketing in Argentina and
studied a Master in Spanish Literature at BYU. Some of the titles she carries include: Spanish
Inspirational Speaker, Business Trainer, Hispanic Market Consultant, Entrepreneur, Educator
and Author. Sonia is very committed to fighting racism, ignorance, poverty, discrimination, and
any other social injustice.
She is a Latin Marketing Consultant and a Spanish Conversational Teacher. She helps
American companies market their products and services to the Hispanic community at the
same time that they are learning the language. She has been involved in consulting,
marketing, and advertising for more than 18 years. Sonia helps companies re-design their
image and re-write marketing content to successfully increase sales within the Latino
population.
She is the founder of Latin Connections Network. The purpose of the network is to bridge
the gap between American business and Hispanic commerce by building strong relationships
and helping each other. Come to visit us in our next meeting in Utah and SLC counties.
She is happily married to Jeff, the most incredible husband. They have a cute Border Collie
named Oscar and a very outdoor Siamese, named Kitty.
Sonia is the founder of Women in Nature a wellness and fitness retreat in Sundance, Utah.
This program is a result of her interest in other women’s personal health, especially
professional and full time working moms. She is a Feng Shui Practitioner, so she will help you
to find the balance and the productivity for your business and homes between work and family.

Sonia Quiroga Thomas was born in tango land and the best steak in the world: Argentina.
She was the only daughter of a young single mom. She started writing at the age of 10, and
won the “Alfonsina Storni” State Poetry Competition. At 17 she was already working in

Panel: Targeting Hispanic Shoppers in the “New World” of the Internet

oadcasting and writing for national newspapers, TV and radio. Two years after she directed
her own magazine Educación Social. She graduated in 1998 from Quilmes National University
in Broadcasting and Marketing. She studied her Masters in Spanish Literature at Brigham
Young University. Also in 2005 she won first prize in the Park City Poetry Contest organized by
the Kimball Art Center. HoloCuentos & HolyPoesías represents her experiment in creative outof-the-box
thinking. The only rule she allows herself here is that there are no valid rules for the
author. Her fiction challenges and changes the reader’s perspective as holograms do. Her
poems give multiple ways of reading and creates spaces of entertainment and reflection. The
reader will savor this book from beginning to end.
