Madeleine Onne Artistic Director In March 2009, The Hong Kong Ballet
announced the appointment of a new Artistic Director, Madeleine Onne. With a dance
career spanning 24 years, Ms. Onne served for six years as the Artistic Director of the
236 year-old Royal Swedish Ballet where she also was previously a Principal Dancer.
Ms. Onne was credited for elevating the artistic level of that company during her
tenure and achieving strong box office revenues with her programming. As the first
Artistic Director in The Hong Kong Ballet’s 30 year history to have previously headed a
major international ballet company, she will leverage her experience and expertise to
lead the Company into the next era of its development.
In her dance career, Ms. Onne also founded and managed Stockholm 59 Degrees
North, a dance company comprised of 15 of the Royal Swedish Ballet’s most prominent
dancers. Her artistic achievements were recognized by several distinguished awards:
becoming only one of five women to have received the title of Royal Court Dancer
from HRM King Carl XVI Gustaf, receiving the prestigious royal medal Litteris et Artibus, and being awarded
The Royal Swedish Opera’s Gold Medal of Honour.
Evonne Tsui Executive Director In January 2009, The Hong Kong Ballet
announced the promotion of Evonne Tsui Ka Ming to become the Executive Director.
Ms. Tsui joined the Company in the middle of 2008 as Business Director.
With a commercial career spanning 20 years, Ms. Tsui has experience in a diverse
range of consumer and industrial businesses and held a number of senior executive
positions in Hong Kong and Paris. Graduating from the École Nationale des Ponts et
Chaussées, Paris with an MBA in International Business, her appreciation of visual
arts and culture was first nurtured as a painter and jewelry designer during her
years in Europe. She shares the vision of leading The Hong Kong Ballet to become
an internationally recognized company and is a strong advocate of delivering best
practices at all levels of the organization.
During her tenure, Ms. Tsui had led initiatives at The Hong Kong Ballet to improve
the budgeting process, to upgrade accounting and reporting procedures, to improve
medical and physiotherapy care for dancers and to increase the profile of the Company through touring
opportunities, audience building projects and community outreach activities.
The former Artistic Director, John Meehan, departed The Hong Kong Ballet in January 2009 after two
productive years to become a professor at a prominent U.S. university. Under his leadership, the Company
expanded its artistic range and began collaborating with internationally recognized guest artists. In his
programming, choreography by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Ronald Hynd, Serge Lifar and Antony
Tudor entered the Company’s repertoire. Visiting artists such as Merrill Ashley and Sofiane Sylve brought
an international perspective and their high standards of expertise to Hong Kong.

驗 , 曾 於 擁 有 236 年 歷 史 的 瑞 典 皇 家 歌 劇 院 芭 蕾 舞 團 擔 任 首 席 舞 蹈 員 , 後 來 更 出 任 該 團 藝 術 總 監 達 6 年 。

香 港 芭 蕾 舞 團 於 2009 年 1 月 宣 佈 徐 嘉 鳴 升 任 為 行 政 總 監 。 徐 氏 於 2008 年 中 加 入 港 芭 , 出 任 業 務
區 氏 於 瑞 典 皇 家 歌 劇 院 芭 蕾 舞 團 期 間 , 把 舞 團 的 藝 術 水 準 不 斷 提 高 , 票 房 數 字 亦 屢 見 佳 績 。 作 為 港 芭 30 年 來 首 位 具 率
領 國 際 知 名 芭 蕾 舞 團 經 驗 的 藝 術 總 監 , 區 氏 將 運 用 她 豐 富 的 經 驗 和 專 業 知 識 帶 領 舞 團 進 入 新 紀 元 。
區 美 蓮 曾 成 立 集 合 15 位 卓 越 的 瑞 典 皇 家 歌 劇 院 芭 蕾 舞 團 成 員 Stockholm 59 Degrees North, 又 率 領 舞 團 演 出 頂 尖 作 品 。
她 對 藝 術 的 貢 獻 備 受 讚 揚 , 屢 獲 殊 榮 。 她 是 5 位 獲 瑞 典 國 王 卡 爾 十 六 世 頒 發 「 皇 廷 舞 者 」 榮 譽 的 女 舞 蹈 家 之 一 , 又 曾 獲

徐 氏 於 商 界 具 20 年 經 驗 , 曾 任 職 於 各 類 營 銷 和 工 業 行 業 , 於 香 港 和 巴 黎 擔 任 多 個 高 級 行 政 要 職 。 徐 氏 於 École Nationale
des Ponts et Chaussées 考 獲 工 商 管 理 碩 士 學 位 , 主 修 國 際 商 務 , 而 她 對 視 覺 藝 術 和 文 化 的 興 趣 更 令 她 於 歐 洲 期 間 成 為
畫 家 和 珠 寶 設 計 師 。 徐 氏 將 帶 領 港 芭 蜚 聲 國 際 , 亦 致 力 令 機 構 上 下 運 作 更 臻 完 美 。
徐 氏 任 職 期 間 , 曾 領 導 港 芭 改 善 財 政 預 算 流 程 、 提 升 會 計 和 報 告 程 序 、 改 善 舞 蹈 員 醫 療 和 物 理 治 療 服 務 , 亦 透 過 巡 迴 演
出 、 觀 眾 拓 展 計 劃 和 社 區 外 展 活 動 提 升 舞 團 知 名 度 。
前 藝 術 總 監 米 瀚 文 於 2009 年 1 月 離 任 , 前 往 美 國 著 名 學 府 任 教 。 米 瀚 文 在 任 兩 年 期 間 , 擴 闊 了 港 芭 的 藝 術 領 域 , 又 為 舞 團
安 排 與 國 際 級 藝 術 家 合 作 。 在 他 的 領 導 下 , 港 芭 演 出 了 由 喬 治 · 巴 蘭 欽 、 威 廉 · 科 西 、 羅 海 · 海 德 、 賽 吉 · 里 法 和 安 東 尼 · 都 鐸
的 作 品 。 客 席 藝 術 家 如 梅 雪 莉 和 西 爾 薇 的 來 訪 , 為 港 芭 帶 來 國 際 視 野 及 提 高 舞 團 之 專 業 水 平 。
