leader in the field of corrosion control and<br />
cathodic protection (CP). <strong>BAC</strong> has been<br />
providing effective solutions to corrosion<br />

MAPEL (originally Metal and<br />
Pipeline Endurance Limited) was formed by<br />
William Press & Son <strong>Ltd</strong>. As a division of<br />
the civil engineering firm specialising in<br />
Cathodic Protection. MAPEL later became<br />
part of the AMEC Group.<br />
Bergsøe Anti <strong>Corrosion</strong> was formed in<br />
Denmark, specialising in the<br />
production of Zinc and Aluminium anodes<br />
for the marine industry.<br />
Global Cathodic Protection <strong>Ltd</strong> was formed.<br />
Bergsøe Anti <strong>Corrosion</strong> acquired Global<br />
Cathodic Protection.<br />

Global Cathodic Protection Limited<br />
changed it's name to <strong>BAC</strong> Global and<br />
acquired the cathodic protection division of<br />
MAPEL from AMEC.<br />
Group reorganisation resulted in the<br />
creation of <strong>BAC</strong>.<br />
<strong>BAC</strong> expanded it’s expertise into the Steel<br />
in Concrete industry offering a range of<br />
products for protecting new and existing<br />
concrete structures, as well as monitoring<br />
reinforcement corrosion.<br />
<strong>BAC</strong> acquired Rose <strong>Corrosion</strong> Services<br />
<strong>Ltd</strong> (RCSL <strong>Corrosion</strong> Monitoring), a<br />
world class company specialising in<br />
corrosion monitoring and inhibition in the<br />
oil, gas and water industries.<br />
<strong>BAC</strong> is part of the Midroc Europe group, a major<br />
international industrial organisation with over 2800<br />

Projects The <strong>BAC</strong> Projects division specialise in<br />
the design, field survey, installation and<br />
commissioning of corrosion control systems. The<br />
resources of <strong>BAC</strong> are available worldwide for major<br />
turnkey projects ensuring that all technical and<br />
commercial requirements are met.<br />
Manpower Services The Manpower Services<br />
department ensures that your plant is regularly<br />
monitored and maintained for total corrosion<br />
control. <strong>Corrosion</strong> consultancy is also available<br />
Manufacturing Incorporating the technical<br />
development department where we design and<br />
manufacture products and systems to the highest<br />
quality - Pin brazing, specialised anodes,<br />
impressed current CP systems, galvanic anodes,<br />
power sources and controls and remote monitoring<br />
for reinforced concrete.<br />
Product Sales The <strong>BAC</strong> Product Sales division<br />
supplies a complete range of products from our<br />
own design and manufacture, distributorships and<br />
approved suppliers. We also have appointed distributors<br />
worldwide for local and regional sales and<br />
