WELCOME TO ALL COMPETITORS AND SUPPORTERS OF HUNTS KART RACING CLUB.<br />
This weekend is the THIRD ROUND of the 2015 HKRC Club Championship. The 2015 race season will be 12<br />
rounds of the championship with 11 to count.<br />
Double points are not awarded for the winter month rounds of two heats and a final. This is the last month<br />
of the two heat and final format until November 2015. The June 2015 race weekend will count for two club<br />
championship rounds. March 2015 round three will be two heats and a final.<br />
IMPORTANT NOTICE- APRIL RACE WEEKEND WIL BE ORGANISED OVER TWO DAYS WITH RACING STARTING<br />
SATURDAY AFTERNOON FOR ALL CLASSES. SATURDAY MORNING WILL PROVIDE THREE PRACTICE<br />
SESSIONS ONLY FOR ALL CLASSES. (costs adjusted accordingly) THIS IS DUE TO HOSTING THE 2ND<br />
ROUND OF THE 2015 LGM AND X30 TOUR<br />
Please ensure you have read and understand the supplementary regulations for 2015 and the additional<br />
Supplementary regulations which are effective from February 2015. These are posted in race control and the<br />
website which are available on the HKRC website and race entry forms.<br />
GRID and PARC FERME /MEMBERSHIP PASSES are to be used when entering the assembly and grid or Parc<br />
Ferme areas. Only mechanics with passes will be permitted into these areas. ONE PASS per driver to be<br />
given to the mechanic.<br />
Wrist bands will be provided for non-club members on the band will be issued. Use of GALLERY - No under<br />
16’s are permitted onto the gallery and only mechanics with passes are permitted to use this area and<br />
smoking is not permitted. Anyone that are seen not to abide by these rules will not be permitted to return to<br />
the gallery for the race weekend.<br />
The paddock is not for general car parking, the grass area on the other side of the tree line must be used<br />
for mechanics and spectator vehicles only. There is an area that can be used for camping at the far end of<br />
the site. Any competitor parking deemed not to be appropriate will be asked to move. AND IF SAFE ACCESS<br />
to SITE and PADDOCK is compromised for emergency services if required then the meeting will have to be<br />
stopped.<br />
VACANT PIT BAYS can be rented for £20 per weekend, please visit race control for availability. If anyone is<br />
parked on a bay that has not be hired, then they will be asked to move or Pay for Hire if the bay is not to be<br />
used for the weekend.<br />
There is FREE pit bay space on the around STOW CORNER AND WILLOWS side of the track.<br />

ALL PITBAY holders issued with a permit must display to enable the Club to ensure that competitors are<br />
parked in their correct bays. The permits will be handed out by HKRC officials or can be collected in race<br />
control over the race weekend.<br />
Pit bay enquires must be sent via email to vicehkrc@hotmail.com No Parking in unallocated pit bays, you<br />
will be asked to move.<br />
PHOTORAPHY. For any person that wishes to take photographs of the racing please sign on in race control<br />
, you will be given a tabard to indicate permission has been given. The photographs are not to be used for<br />
resale as HKRC has an official photographer. PIXELERO.<br />
TYRE DISPOSAL. Tyres are still being left on site at race meetings circuit. The costs incurred for disposal will<br />
have to be passed onto the Competitors. During the weekend HKRC Officials will be walking around the<br />
paddock checking on tyre disposal. HKRC will dispose of tyres for a cost of £3 per set of tyres.<br />
NO DOGS are permitted to be walked on the circuit, only the surrounding area. This is due unfortunately to<br />
the trust of dog owners being broken by not clearing up.<br />
2015 HKRC MEMBERSHIP PACKS ARE AVAILABLE FROM RACE CONTROL. NO COST INCREASES FOR ANY<br />
RACE DAY CHARGES , MEMBERSHIP OR PITBAY HIRE FOR 2015.<br />
2015 IMPORTANT NOTICES<br />
ADDITIONAL HKRC ASR’S EFFECTIVE FROM FEBRUARY 2015<br />
• On track driver warnings will be displayed by the digiflag sited above the start/finish line gantry. Any<br />
driver not observing this warning may be excluded from the race<br />
• Water cooled engines can have tape or covers added but are not to be altered or removed during the race<br />
• HKRC official signs that are posted around the site are to be adhered to. Anyone found to disregard the<br />
sin content may be excluded from the meeting<br />
• HKRC will not accept competitors to become a HKRC member after October of the race season<br />
• HKRC scrutineers reserve the right to parc ferme tyres from any chosen class during the race meeting.<br />
When requested drivers arrive at the assembly area two races prior to their race to enable tyres/rims to<br />
be bolted to the kart<br />
• Regulation 18 amended- Grid positions for the final is determined by the combined heat/ qualifying results.<br />
In the event of tied points awarded then the highest grid position will be decided by the highest position<br />
achieved first. First highest time may also be used if points are tied.In the event that the finals cannot be<br />
completed the results and championship points are determined on the calculated grid position for the final.<br />
In the event of a heat being cancelled, the result for this are determined by the heat grid position.<br />

A cold but beautifully sunny day greeted the drivers who had gathered for the second round of HKRC’s 2015<br />
championships at Kimbolton on Sunday 8 February 2015. Unfortunately the number of false starts reached epidemic<br />
proportions, eating into track time and resulting in the number of laps for the finals having to be reduced.<br />
Mini Max: Thomas Byrne was first out of Stow as pole man Evan Cook lost out, but last month’s winner Lochlan<br />
Bearman was soon challenging for the lead having taken just a lap to dispense with Owen Byatt. Once Bearman hit<br />
the front, he proceeded to pull away for another comfortable win.<br />
Byrne looked settled in second, but Byatt began to close the gap and grabbed second at just after half distance.<br />
Byrne slotted in behind Byatt and wouldn’t let him get away, but a move at Kestrel failed to come off and he had<br />
to make do with third.<br />

Honda Cadet: Harry Thompson led Oliver Clarke and Henry Laws with Ben Kasperczak some distance down the<br />
road. It didn’t take long for Kasperczak to close in on the battle up front and as he did so, Clarke and Laws seized<br />
the chance to muscle past Thompson. A lap later, Kasperczak was past Laws and up to second, with Thompson<br />
taking advantage to nip past Laws too.<br />
Battling hard, Thompson regained the lead, with Clarke, Kasperczak and Laws following in traditional Cadet slipstreaming<br />
mode. With two laps left, Clarke and Kasperczak dived past Thompson and retained the positions to the<br />
line. Thompson finished just ahead of Laws and the fast charging Wesley Mason.<br />

Junior TKM: Bradley White set off like a scalded cat with Thomas Broadley Jordan-Lee Chapman, Matthew Taylor,<br />
Adam Sparrow and Chris Whitton half a second behind. Chapman slipped to the back of the group as Broadley<br />
began to claw back the gap to White.<br />
On lap eight, Broadley and Taylor succeeded in squeezing past White to take the top two spots, leaving White to<br />
fend off Whitton. A neat move saw Whitton into second, but Taylor fought back to finish runner-up, inches ahead.<br />

Junior X30: Lucas Vaus was a lights-to-flag winner, keeping Saul Robinson at a safe distance behind hm. Bryony<br />
King made early progress from sixth to third, but was unable to get anywhere close to Robinson.<br />

Junior Rotax:<br />
Aaron Drury was another lights-to-flag winner in a dominant display that saw him win by over three seconds.<br />
Tyler Sullivan was equally comfortable in second. Jordan Brown made rapid progress early on from seventh to third,<br />
but was unable to improve from there.<br />

IAME Cadet:<br />
A fascinating battle between Jonny Edgar and Dexter Patterson developed with each taking turns to lead. Behind<br />
them, Harry Thompson, Lorcan Hanafin, Taylor Barnard, Georgi Dimitrov, Klaas Kooiker, Van Knapton and Thomas<br />
Smith were also involved in a terrific scrap.<br />
It was Patterson who got the better of Edgar with a decisive move on the last lap, with the battle for third going<br />
down to the wire too. In the closest of finishes, Hanafin, Barnard, Dimitrov, and Smith crossed the line within a<br />
tenth of each other. Unfortunately for Hanafin, he was excluded in post-race scrutineering, so Barnard took third.<br />

Senior Rotax:<br />
Sam Smelt led Anton Stamps by some distance in the early laps. Third placed Liam Ferguson began to make his<br />
mark on proceedings, passing Stamps and setting off to catch Smelt. It took another six laps, but once in position<br />
he swept into the lead.<br />

4 - H Edwards, Kosmic 5 - T Mason, Kosmic 6 - L King, Tonykart<br />
Rotax 177:<br />
Charlie Whaley had the final sorted from the off. Scott Clee was the only one to come anywhere near Whaley, but<br />
never close enough to challenge the leader. Jamie McGeoghan was a lonely third.<br />

TKM Extreme:<br />
Michael Cornell was once again in determined mood, taking his second win in two months. It was only two laps<br />
before he hit the front and then pulled away from Kye Springfield and Owain Rosser. Having lost out to Rosser,<br />
Springfield looked set for third until Stephen Chisholm caught and passed him on the last lap and if that wasn’t<br />
enough of a setback, Springfield was excluded during post race scrutineering.<br />

4 - R Reed, Tonykart 5 - M Ayres, Jade 6 - R Darlington, Tonykart<br />
Senior X30: Derek Morgan took a lights-to-flag win. Lewis Bickers was soon past Lewis Outten and then ran a<br />
solitary second. In the last two laps Outten hit problems allowing Rhys Malyon and Joe Higham to take third and<br />
fourth.<br />
