Message from our Principal - Mr. Judziewicz
Hello students and parents!
Welcome to the 2012-2013
school year. This will be a
very exciting year for us as
we continue to strive for excellence
and make Elsinore
Middle School a place where
students are challenged academically,
taught to exemplify
good character, enjoy a
safe and healthy school climate,
and show their ROAR.
I would like all our community
to know that I sincerely
feel we have some of the
greatest teachers in our district
here at Elsinore Middle
School.
This year we continue to push
Hello! It is with great pride
and honor that I join the Elsinore
Tigers Family this year. I
am excited to be a part of this
team and make a difference in
the lives of youth. One of our
primary goals as an administration
team will be to connect
students to their educational
experience. We want our students
to have a high quality
learning experience at Elsinore
Middle School while making middle
school a fun experience.
Parents and guardians, please
feel free to contact me for any
reason. I am a firm believer
our school for academic
growth as measured by our
STAR testing. The API formulas
had some changes over
the summer, and our API for
2011 has been adjusted accordingly.
The results of the
2012 STAR testing will be
out soon. Our next newsletter
will have our results. What
you should know is that on a
scale of 1-10, we are at a
Similar School Ranking of an
8, the highest for all middle
schools in the district. This
is all thanks to the collaborative
effort of teachers, staff,
the students, and of course -
you….the parents and guardians.
New Assistant Principal - Frank Arce
that parent involvement makes a
huge difference in the success
of our children; I have four of
my own and I know the challenges
that come with doing our
best to raise good kids who live
productive lives. I reply to
emails fairly quickly and if you
leave me a phone message, I will
surely get back to you in a
prompt manner.
Students, these three years will
fly by, and before you know it,
you will be embarking on the
path to high school. It could be
a challenge to prepare for such
an experience, so never be
afraid to ask questions. Do your

What to expect at EMS in the year 2012-2013
This year we are very excited
to continue to build on some
of the very positive things that
we have going on at EMS. Our
GEMS program continues to
be host a myriad of opportunities
for our students. AVID
continues to achieve to great
lengths and broaden the learning
experiences of our students.
Our teachers continue
to participate in staff meetings
and professional development,
as staying current with best
teaching practices is one of our
utmost concerns. Our API
scores continue to climb, as
we continue our quest to exit
the Program Improvement
status. Thanks to the hard
work and dedication by our
teachers and our students, and
the added recommendations of
the Alternative Governance
Board, we continue to achieve
to high expectations. California
districts continue to suffer
through some economic hardships.
Nonetheless, we at EMS
are committed to give our
students excellent opportunities
of school connectedness.
Through our current clubs and
activities, as well as plans to
implement a PLUS program
and other intervention activities,
we will continue to work
hard to achieve to great
lengths. We will continue to
let our R.O.A.R. show and
develop character and integrity.

in it. The remaining
