THE WALKING DEAD

The second half of the popular show,
The Walking Dead, returned to our TV with more
than 15 million of viewers on Sunday, February
8th. This show is more than the cliché of screaming
and running away from zombies; the characters,
the settings, stories, conflicts, make-up, and
plot will make you love the show.
Characters:
There are many and diverse amount of
characters in this show; they have different perspectives,
different pasts, and survival methods.
You will either love or dislike them through the
seasons based on their behavior and their growth.
Even though more characters keep coming in as
others keep dying off, those situations of their
friends or family make them grow and rely in each
other to survive.
Unpredictability:
As the show progresses, what seems predictable
to happen to the group while they move
along, end up with even sometimes doing the contrary.
It might end up them getting split up, lost,
getting eaten, or transformed. Or even when you
think a character is dead, they might be with less
chances of getting bitten than the rest of the group.
Special Effects / Make -Up:
Although unlike many movies about technologic
advances, The Walking Dead won’t be
using those kind of effects as much, but mostly
relying on make-up and details. When there are
attacks, or deaths, or a scene with zombies walking
around, the make-up looks realistic.
The show has gore, and even close ups with
people dying, or the survivors shooting at zombie’s
head, blood, or people’s insides being ripped off, or
even when they are trying to save their friends and
have to chop off parts of their bodies.
Not only that, their clothing, the settings
help with the immersion in the show.
Plot(twists): You assume in the beginning of the
show about who are the ones that couldn’t possibly
die, and then you catch up to the latest episode
and realize that chances are that anyone can just
die, it does not matter their importance for the
characters in the show or whether is a favorite.
