This movie has made breaking
news on CNN and was a conversation topic for
weeks around the world. It got the attention of
everyone, from the president to Hollywood’s
hottest celebrities.
The United States has been in conflicts
with North Korea for quite some time, and this
movie coming out was a huge deal.
Many say that it is just a movie and
should not have had as much of an impact as it
did, while others say that it was extremely innappropriate
and would cause many problems.
Starring comedians Seth Rogen and
James Franco, the plot of the story is for these
two to take down the leader of North Korea.
James Franco plays a TV host who’s
producer is Seth Rogen. They find out that Kim
Jong-un, the dictator of North Korea, is a big
fan of their show.
So they are able to land an interview
with him, hoping that it will lead to more coverage
and popularity for themselves and their
show.
But once the CIA finds this information
out, they have a meeting with Franco and Rogen.
The CIA
has a job for these two, and it is not what
they were expecting. All they wanted was an
interview with the dictator, but now the CIA is
asking for much more; to assasssinate him.
Through the hour and fifty two minutes
of the movie, you are taken on quite the adventure.
This rated R action/comedy got an average
of four stars and is still being talked about,
considering the fact that it recently got put on
Netflix for people to watch.
You first see the face of Chris Kyle
looking into the scope of his sniper rifle as
a small boy and his mother step out of their
home in the middle of the war-zone. Then the
scene cuts and the movie starts over again by
showing the events leading up to that scene.
Chris Kyle is an all-American man who
would do anything to help protect his country.
Kyle decides to join the Seals, he meets a girl
and falls in love, and married soon after.
A later scene then shows him and his
wife watching the attack on the World Trade
Center on their television. The next thing you
know, Kyle is on his first tour in Iraq. This is
when the movie goes back to the very first
scene, and goes on from there.
Kyle goes through four tours in Iraq. He
became the best sniper in US history; he was a
legend.
After his last tour, he decided that he
was done and went home. He had suffered
tramaizing events that made him suffer from
some form of PTSD.
Kyle became very well-known, and
wrote his own book about his story in Iraq, later
being made in to a movie. A few years later,
Kyle was killed while trying to help out other
vets.
This remarkable rated-R movie is directed
by Clint Eastwood and stars Bradley Cooper
as Chris Kyle.
Kyle did everything that he could to help
serve and protect this country, being an American
hero.
