Please note the following detail is for information only and is a summary of some of the main terms and conditions that are<br />
likely to apply should any offer of employment be made to you. Specific terms relating to any offer of employment will be<br />

document to keep for your own reference. This document is dated 29/09/<strong>2010</strong> and the detail contained herein maybe<br />

PAY PERIOD<br />
Pay is on a monthly basis for all employees and is normally paid direct into a bank / building society account (nominated<br />
by you) on or around the 28 th day of each month.<br />
HOURS<br />
Although many parts of our Company work on standard day work completing 35 hour or 40 hour working week, many of<br />
our operations also work a range of different hours, such as those associated with Production, Maintenance or Logistics<br />
and as such work shift patterns are designed to meet demand so require variable shift or night work or call out systems.<br />
PROBATION PERIODS<br />
Any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of a probation period (the employer reserves the<br />
right to extend the probation period). The probation period can be between 13 – 52 weeks.<br />
PENSION SCHEME<br />
The Company will provide access to a pension scheme once an employee has completed 3 months continuous service.<br />
ANNUAL LEAVE<br />
The leave year runs from 1 st January to 31 st December in each year and total annual entitlement is deemed to accrue at<br />
the rate of 1/12 th of an employee’s annual entitlement per calendar month worked. An employee’s specific annual leave<br />
allowance and the rules relating to it are normally contained within the written offer of employment. The normal standard<br />
base for someone required to attend work on 5 days each week is a total of 25 days per each calendar year plus<br />
opportunity to accrue the normal locally applied UK statutory leave days in each year (normally 8 days), this gives a<br />
maximum annual total of 33 days per annum.<br />
REFERENCES / REPORTS<br />
Any offer of employment is subject to the receipt of satisfactory medical reports and employment references. A medical<br />
appointment may be requested with the Company Doctor during probation or at other times during employment.<br />
Employment references will only be taken up on receipt of the Applicant’s permission, see tick box on <strong>Application</strong> <strong>Form</strong>.<br />
HEALTH AND SAFETY<br />
Every employee has a duty while at work to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of any other<br />
persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. Employees must co-operate with the Employer in so far<br />
as is necessary to enable any duty or requirement placed upon the Employer to be performed or complied with.<br />
Employees must not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety<br />
or welfare. This extends to all operational equipment such as machinery, tools, covers and clothing, all of which must be<br />
maintained in a good clean operational condition. Employees are required to report any accidents, dangerous events,<br />
faults or functional defects immediately.<br />
NO SMOKING POLICY<br />
Smoking is restricted on Company sites and in Company vehicles, advice should be sought from the local area, but as a<br />
base one should assume that smoking is not permitted.<br />
