NAMES FREER DIRECTOR OF GROUP SALES & MARKETING
Phoenix, Arizona. . . . (June 2013) Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse , Arizona’s largest western-themed
attraction on 70 acres in Phoenix, has appointed Dale Freer to director of group sales and marketing. Rob
Hinkle, Rawhide general manager and previous Walt Disney World operations manager, made the
announcement.
“Dale brings a very diverse background of group sales and marketing experience with high-profile
entertainment companies such as Walt Disney Attractions, Universal Studios Orlando and DreamWorks SKG.
His strength in multiple group market segments, both domestically and internationally, makes him the perfect fit
as we take Rawhide into its next generation,” said Hinkle. Hinkle played an integral role in the pre-opening and
opening of The Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World.
Throughout his distinguished 30 year career, Freer has gained expertise in product development,
implementation and promotion for hotels, theme parks and destinations. As Managing Director of DWF
Hospitality Services, Freer specialized in theme park niche marketing, which garnered him his first client: Walt
Disney Company. He has also served in regional and property-level leadership positions within sales and
marketing for Ritz-Carlton and Hilton Hotels. As Manager of both Group Sales and Destination Marketing,
Freer successfully rebranded Destination Fort McDowell Resort & Casino, a 24,000-acre venue which includes
Scottsdale’s only AAA Four Diamond resort with spa and casino, championship golf, Southwestern
entertainment and unique shopping.

International Airport and 15 miles from downtown Phoenix.
Freer attended California State University in Fullerton with an emphasis in marketing and studied business
administration at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California. Freer resides in Gilbert with his wife
Kimberly and prized family dog, Shortie.
