Technology Range 

At the heart of Sebel’s storage system is an extensive 

range of modular bench cupboards, overhead 

cupboards and bench tops which can be configured 

to produce an attractive, robust and efficient solution 

for new or existing rooms. With the addition of 

stainless steel sinks, the “Technology Range” is 

perfectly suited to both science and food technology 

applications. 

The NSW Department of Education and Training, 

who originally developed the “Technology Range”, 

have specified a number of configured units comprising particular modules to perform specific functions and 

these have been detailed under “Configured Modular Units”. For each configured unit the modules are listed, 

however you only need to order the parent code 

e.g. B-45. 

Complete Cupboards 

In addition to the modular “Technology Range”, Sebel 

is also able to supply a range of complete cupboards 

such as storage walls, bookcases and mobile tote tray 

units. Consistent in look with the “Technology Range”, 

these cupboards ensure that Sebel can fulfill all of your 

storage needs. 

Replacement 

Most existing Department of Education and Training 

Schools will be fitted with old system cupboards. The 

new “Technology Range” will not directly replace 

old system benches due to slight differences in size. 

This will not effect free standing units however to 

replace an old system bench in a row of benches, 

please refer to the table headed “New for Old” 

page 72, which details the products to be used for 

replacement work.

the Technology Range feature barrel locks as standard. 

Each lock is supplied with two keys and all locks 

in a room are keyed alike for ease of access when

You will notice that single door units come with an option of L or R that is, left or right. If a unit is coded 

as B29R for example, it means that the hinges are on the right hand side of the unit as you look at it and 

therefore opens from the left.

HOW TO SELECT YOUR LIBRARY SHELVING 

LIBRARY 

Designing library shelving layouts is easy when you use combinations from the wide range 

of predetermined bays. Ordering is as simple as following these steps: 

1. Decide the type and height of bay you require 

- Wall Striping - 800mm 



- Freestanding Single Sided - 1100mm 



- Freestanding Double Sided- 1100mm 

- Freestanding Double Sided - 1400mm 

- Freestanding Double Sided - 2000mm 

2. Determine whether you need a starting bay or add on bay. If you require an 

add on bay, then be sure to only select the configurations with one post. 

3. From the relevant design, select the configuration of shelves you would like. 

TERMS USED 

Single Sided - is a freestanding bay with shelves on one side only; typically installed against a wall 

Double Sided - is a freestanding bay with shelves on both sides. 

Starting Bay - (double or single sided) is the first bay erected in a range. It alone requires two posts. 

Add on Bay - (single or double sided) are used to produce a range, with each one having 

only one post and connecting to the starting bay or another add on bay. 

Wall Striping - Slotted channel strips fixed to any load bearing wall and fitted with a range of shelves. 

These are particularly used where an off-the-floor appearance is required.
