The rigidityof the unique twin steel rail framereduces discomfort from rockingmotion compared with alternativeframe designs that allow for thetransfer of torsional twisting alongthe seating row.Flexibility The dual rail framesystem not only offers durabilitybut also design flexibility as the railscan be curved to accommodatecontinuous rows on a radial setout.This maximises the use ofavailable space whilst providinga much cleaner aestheticappearance. The rail systemalso allows for flexibility in thepositioning of the floor supportsso that floor obstructions such asmovement joints can be cateredfor. The relative position of theseats can also be adjusted postinstallation to cater for futureneeds of the venue.Unique tablet system Sebel,following years of experience,deliberately mould our tablets tobe ‘flexible’. We have found thatthis discourages students/usersfrom sitting on or misusing tablets.The problem with what appears tobe strong and rigid tablets is thatthey encourage the application ofloads (e.g. sitting) that the tablet isnot designed for. Overtime theseforces inevitably cause a failure -examples include screws pullingout of the tablet board or fatiguefailure of the tablet arm casting.The tablets are available ina range of sizes includingan A3 size that is designed toaccommodate left handed peoplewithout having to segregatethem to designated left handedtablet seats.All the tablets are designed tobe ‘anti panic’ e.g. the tablet willautomatically fold away as theuser gets up from their seat. Thisprovides more space and anorderly egress path in the event ofan emergency evacuation. It alsoreduces turn around time betweenlectures and facilitates accessfor cleaners.Accessories The Podium seatcomes with a range of accessoriesthat extends its usage to a rangeof venues including outdoor usein stadiums.
