NORDSKOV
Mark Nordskov from Hillerød in Denmark became a hairdresser
and color trainer at the salon "chachacha" in 1990.
He won the Global Color Zoom Elumen Category in 2009 and
created the "Play Strong Collection" 2011 as part of the Color
Zoom Team.
How was it to present the collection
on stage at the global event ?
It was an unforgettable and profoundly frightening experience all at
the same time. It was an experience of a lifetime – something I will
never forget. Imagine being able to be part of something so
exceptional, it gave me goose bumps of excitement to stand on the
same stage as so talented colleagues – it couldn’t get any bigger!
What impressed you mostly while
creating the Color Zoom Collection?
The degree of perfection and carefulness the whole team put in
throughout the whole project was without comparison – incredible!
To be with such creative colleagues inspired me and brought out the
very best in me.
TIMOTHY
SWITZER
Timothy Switzer from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, has been a
passionate colorist for 15 years, when he opened his own salon
"Timothy & Co. Salon and Spa". He won the Global Color Zoom
Partner Category in 2009 and was involved in creating the
"Play Strong Collection" 2011. Timothy has been a North
American and Global Artistic Team Member ever since.
WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE WHOLE COLOR ZOOM
PROJECT?
The Color Zoom project on a whole is the most creative and team
oriented project I have ever worked on. Working with the other
team members helps you to grow as a stylist and find the strengths
you excel at. It is a project that will always hold a special place in
my heart both professionally and personally.

As stylists we are often asked what is trendy and the education
seminars for Color Zoom teach you these trends and inspiration so
that you can take them back to the salon and interpret them in
whatever way you need.
HOW HAS WINNING THE COLOR ZOOM CHALLENGE
CHANGED YOUR LIFE OR INFLUENCED YOUR CAREER?
Winning Color Zoom in Vegas was one of the most emotional
experiences of my career to date. It was a huge honor and to this
day I still think of the night my name was announced. I was
overwhelmed with emotions. It has helped to build my profile as
an educator and a creative artist. Something I will be grateful for
my entire career.
HOW HAS COLOR ZOOM INFLUENCED YOUR CAREER?
Color Zoom has given me the confidence and strength to think
outside the box and be more creative in my role as an educator and
