Chairs for Charity
Orange County’s inaugural “Chairs for Charity” Event and Auction was held on September 21 at the 2008 Orange Coast Art House in
Covenant Hills and was a resounding success. During an afternoon filled with music, laughter, great food and great shopping, 30 one-of-a-kind
designer chairs were auctioned to enthusiastic bidders who helped ASIDOC raise nearly $25,000 for Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
The “Chairs for Charity” Committee would like to gratefully thank all designers who participated.
Their generosity, along with the amazing support of Orange Coast Magazine, many wonderful
underwriters and the local art galleries represented in the custom estate know as Chateau de
l’Eau, helped us launch what promises to be a popular annual event for our chapter.
We are already planning the
2009 “Chairs for Charity” Event
with some new twists that will
make it even more fun and generate
an even larger donation for CHOC.
Once again 30 designers will be
called upon to work their magic
to help raise much needed money
for the children of CHOC. Space
will definitely be limited so sign
up early. Remember, “Chairs for
Charity” links our world of design
with local businesses for the
betterment of our community.
