About<br />

The <strong>Appalachian</strong> <strong>Trail</strong> <strong>Conservancy</strong> (<strong>AT</strong>C), as part of the <strong>Appalachian</strong> <strong>Trail</strong> (A.T.)<br />

<strong>Community</strong> Program TM , wants to highlight non–profits, organizations, and<br />

businesses that provide support to the hiking community, the <strong>Appalachian</strong> <strong>Trail</strong> and/<br />

or the <strong>AT</strong>C by recognizing participating entities as “A.T. <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Supporter</strong>s”.<br />

Show your support of the A.T., the local maintaining club, the <strong>AT</strong>C and/or the<br />

A.T. <strong>Community</strong>. Help us build public awareness about the significant resources<br />

and economic opportunities the <strong>Appalachian</strong> National Scenic <strong>Trail</strong> brings to A.T.<br />

Communities, which will leverage and strengthen our ability to protect it.<br />

Process for Application<br />

Turn in the following application to your A.T. <strong>Community</strong> Advisory Committee. If you need assistance finding contacts for<br />

your local committee, contact atcommunity@appalachiantrail.org.<br />

Once local advisory committees have approved the application, it will be forwarded to the regional <strong>AT</strong>C office.<br />

Once received, the <strong>AT</strong>C will prepare a recognition certificate for the advisory committee to award and coordinate other<br />

benefits associated with being awarded A.T. <strong>Supporter</strong>.<br />
